Wow, what a delicious and elevated, tasty surprise for a small fast fresh place. The ingredients are super fresh, clean, and they put care into their flavors and presentation. We came a few times while visiting Rochester because of their delicious food. Their ube milk tea was the best I’ve had, so flavorful and not overly sweet, and made me come back for more.
For salads, rice bowls, ramen, etc you get to pick your protein, unlimited toppings, type of noodle… all fresh and cooked to perfection. Shrimp spicy miso wavy noodle ramen - surprisingly delish and cooked just right, shrimp was grilled and had that grilled flavor, cooked just right. Broth was nice and flavorful with the right amount of spice and umami. Another time, had the chicken over salad greens, and the chicken was SO delicious and tender, just ate that first. All the toppings (like edamame, halved cherry tomatoes, quinoa, avocado, can get them all) were super fresh and yum, especially with the sesame dressing. Everything was just balanced well. The chicken steamed chicken bun had just the right balance of flavors with the savory chicken and light veggies but with pickled Japanese radish thrown in to balance add lightness and crunch. The pork gyoza, miso ramen, everything was just right and enjoyed by my...
Read moreUpdate: My review was from last week. I went again today since I was in the area, and the service was a little better. Food was still great, this time I got the chicken steam buns along with the Japanese fried chicken and both of them are fantastic. I had a different person this time who took my order and she was friendly. :)
My first time there was great. I got the steak steamed buns and the Japanese fried chicken. Also got a honeydew fruit boba tea, which was fantastic. I do wish the popping boba had different flavors, like all of the other places do.
Service was decent, I did ask a question about the Japanese fried chicken and I didn't get an answer at all, just told that it was Japanese fried chicken.
I was just wondering what it was and what makes it different than regular fried chicken. I'm glad I decided to go with it anyway, it was delicious. Staff didn't seem that friendly, but they also weren't rude. Just neutral at best.
But the food is good enough for me to return again to have the Japanese fried chicken once again, and to try a different...
Read moreWe found a bug at the bowl when we almost finished everything, and we handed that to the cashier and she said the cook would handle this.
After waiting for a couple of minutes(believing that she would actually take care of it), the cook came out and had the bug on her hand, claiming it’s not a bug and immediately rub it off. It’s interesting how she mentioned it’s the plastic melted from the spatula………..like it’s better than bug………. with any selection between these two, they are both disgusting. If your spatula can melt in any of your cooking process, that means this spatula is long over due and you need to get rid off. I’m very worried about your kitchen environment and food safety issue.
She said that she can remake the noodle but we’ve already finished the bowl and we don’t want another one. She refused to provide any other solutions, and gave us a huge attitude. My boyfriend was a big fan of crave and he would come around anytime after school, this is a huge disappointment and we put the remake on the...
