José Joe's Burger's & Burritos — Restaurant in City of Rochester

I ordered a veggie burger and fries for my son and a burger and Mac salad for myself. I also tipped them for their service. They made a mistake & gave me 2 Mac salads. I told the Karen behind the counter that I need fries for my son and she tells me if I give her the mac salad back she'll give me fries. I've worked in restaurants too & when we make the mistake we tell the customer to keep the food because we have to throw it out anyways. When my cousin asked her if she was going to throw it out she just looked at her pivoted and threw it in the trash. It was rude, condescending and it was very wasteful. I've ordered a few times from here so far and each time was very good. The food was tasty - seasoned perfectly - not too much and not too little. The ingredients seem very fresh. If you like Mexican style food you should try it - I've had a chicken burrito (fried the outside of it), beans and rice, nachos, a great chicken sandwich, and a taco salad. Have only tried the tacos-great price, great portion size, but the tortillas were ice cold and doughy. They’d be awesome if they could heat them on the grill before filling! Service was great. Lighting is too bright and sort of kills the atmosphere. It’s very clean. Will definitely be back to try other items-love having another option in Charlotte during the winter term:-) Editing my review-after trying the burgers, we have come back multiple times.
