One of the most, if not the most excellent lunch spots in rochester. Everytime I leave I can't help but think about when I can get back next. Atmosphere and ambiance: Delightful. The entire design from top to bottom is just gorgeous with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard and the big neon sign, it's purely magical. It's so often rare that with great decor comes quality food and this place checks all my boxes in the taste department. The sandwhichs are to die for, they have pickled beets for health nuts like me and the finest tea assortment! Do not get me started on the locally baked desserts! We frequent Open Face often for a delicious lunch. The food has always been consistent and the specials are fresh. Unfortunately today was our last visit due to the sad lack of customer appreciation. We spent over 50 dollars on lunch including a bottle of apple juice for our toddler. I asked for a cup with lid to make it easier for her to drink. The cashier informed me she would have to charge me TWENTY FIVE CENTS for this request. I can't say enough amazing things about this little sandwich shop. It is a hidden gem. I have celiac disease and I have not gotten sick here once. They offer GF and are very careful and considerate. The staff are very sweet. From the open face pea mash sandwich to the turkey sandwich there is something for everyone. Also, the cookies are to die for and they have a great peanut butter chocolate chip GF cookies. Oh, and the soup! I could rave for days...
