Jines Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Rochester

After wanting to try Jines for over 2 years now I finally visited this restaurant for the first time and can honestly say the food was extremely disappointing. I love trying to find some great chicken wings and visiting Jines I seen that they offered a 10pc wing for $18.99. I decided to try them and was sadly disappointed. I have had wings from Walmart's carryout cafe (under $7 for a 6pc and side) and I must say that these are the same wings Walmart offer. They were all different sizes and it was apparent that these wings came already seasoned and breaded. They were just taken out of the bag and dropped into the fryer and served. I also ordered the Chicken and pesto sandwich and was equally disappointed. I had to request an extra side of pesto to spread on the bread since the chicken and overall sandwich lacked flavor. On top of that the chicken breast was dry. I felt the sandwich had unnecessary toppings (lettuce and tomatoes). It comes with steak fries and the fries were not crispy and undercooked in the middle. After receiving a new batch of fries, removing tomatoes and lettuce from the sandwich, and adding the extra pesto the meal was finally edible. The service was great and I enjoyed the atmosphere. However, based on the quality of the food I do not see myself returning. I go out to restaurants for good food and based on that alone is why I give 2 stars. I would not recommend the chicken...

Ok so I wasn't going to do this review but this is the 3rd time I received bad food here so now it's a must! First issue...I ordered a regular rueban and got all the way home and it was a turkey rueban...I usually order these here and unless specified it comes as a corned beef rueban. The refundedthe sandwich when i called to. Omplain as they should have. .. Second issue, I ordered here last Saturday for breakfast which was simply supposed to be "real" corned beef hash, eggs and wheat toast...got home and couldn't believe my eyes! My toast was burnt and black, the corned beef hash looked like dog food and tasted horrible but the eggs were cooked good. I used to order this here all the time and they definitely fell off with the corned beef hash for sure and the presentation of the food with the burnt toast was just crazy. This had me so livid and I choose not to even call and complain so my loss. Third issue... tonight I ordered yet another reuban and this time it was made as ordered but they cooked the coleslaw onto the sandwich which is not how they do it. The manager tried to go back n fourth but realized that I'm a regular...I know raw coleslaw from cook coleslaw...what happened is, they put the sandwich all together and then slapped it on the grill! I wont be doing Jines for a long time...they have...

Straight up DISCRIMINATION... I couldn't believe how nasty this old, short-white- haired woman treated my fiance! Here's the story: my fiance & I had just gotten done mulching a giant property. We were on our way home, starving, when we called to get take out. I was then put on hold for nearly 5 minutes, hung up on, i called back, and when ever I asked any question about the food, she was somewhat short with me. Well, my fiance, who looks like a man, but is not, went in to get the food. We were a little early so my partner asked if she could pay for it while she waited. The woman, much to get chagrin, snapped the receipt into my fiance hand, then when the food was ready, the lady told the chef (in front of my fiance) "its for THAAAT person" and proceeded to say under her breath that she didn't want to hand the food to her!!! So the food runner was trying to hand the food to the lady and she said "I don't want it, I don't want it, I don't want it" and pointed at my partner as if to say "you hand it to this thing". I couldn't effing believe it! This makes me so mad 😤 for someone to treat my partner like this bc of her appearance!? I want something done about this. Whomever is supervising should really contact me. One positive thing about Jines: I know the manager there is very respectable...
