Refresh Cafe & Smoothie Bar — Restaurant in City of Rochester

I hate to leave such a bad review because I usually have nothing but good things to say. I used to be a frequent shopper here a few years back because I stayed in the area. Anywho, I decide to stop in today, I placed my order online. Cool. Gives me a certain time it’ll ready great! I head in theres someone before me so I wait at the inside table patiently. (Approx 3 minutes ) No welcoming hello btw. Im checking emails on my phone the customer before me headed out. I check the time it’s now 11 minutes after pick up time. I head to Jenna (staff member) & ask does she have any online orders ready. She blandly says, “NO”. Cool cool cool. She begins to ask me where did I place the order. I explain right from the website directed from google. Showed her the link as well as the confirmation email. She rolls her eyes turns around and says “what was in it?”. I proceed to show her again and reminded her of the add ons I paid extra for. She says okay and turns around again. Other customer comes in she talks their order without starting mine. Cool I get that. Another 5 minutes goes by. She places the bag with my bowl on the pick up counter and walks away. I grab the bag and ask her name and proceeded to tell her to have a good day. Weird interaction. Crappy customer service for such a beautiful establishment. I will come back again actually with hoping staff will show more customer service and perhaps be more friendly. I had a chance to check this place out today. I think it's a great place, customer service was good and the price is fair. A few things I would have liked 1. More options like exotic fruits and nuts. 2. Calorie count for items listed in the menu and 3. Whatever the base is to be explained or at least on the menu. Overall I will definitely go back 😀 probably tomorrow 🙂 I tried the tropical bowl and it was AMAZING! I also got my husband the PB and he raved about it.

Side note: I had the B12 shot and I have been wired alllllll day!

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews unless I really believe a business carries itself egregiously enough to warrant one.

This business has plastic in its smoothies. The Hawaiian Sunset smoothie I ordered on 10/4 at 1:50pm was littered with shredded plastic and I stopped drinking it after the second piece.
