Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in City of Rome

This is the third time in a row that Applebees in Rome NY has screwed up a curbside to go order. $65 for 2 steak dinners an a hamburger along with an order of chicken wonton tacos.

Aside from the fact that the online menu pictured a small pile of onion rings on the burger and real life provided only two small ones, the listening skill of the staff are poorer than those found at McDonalds. After mispronouncing my name and having me spell it for her, the order taker still pit the wrong name on the slip. I got home and started handing out the dinners and the appetizer was missing. Checked the receipt and confirmed that they remembered to charge me for it.

I asked for an 8oz steak with cheesy broccoli and no garlic potato. The order taker had to tell me that the potato comes with the steak. I told her I do not want the potato. She told me again, it comes with potato. That is when my sarcasm kicked in.

I wasn’t able to check the order before I left as they tied the bag so tight I had to use scissors to open it. Called them up, suggested they deliver at their expense, no, they don’t do that.

They offered me desert, for my trouble. I asked what would make him think I would want desert if I don’t eat potato. (Starch =sugar). He offered me a $10 coupon for a future order (there will not be any future orders).

My wife got her appetizer. We all ate cold dinners after the second trip and the cheesy broccoli that I ordered turned out to be plain steamed broccoli.

I’m finally calmed down enough from this past weekend to submit something! Granted when my husband and I arrived it was busy we didn’t wait but 5 minutes to be seated amazing young lady sat us. Our waitress Amber got our drinks within 15 minutes and our food orders. We both got the all you can eat. IT TOOK 45 minutes to receive our food! My husband got the shrimp and I got the riblets. His plate was fine. All 3 of my riblets were ridiculously burnt! I wasn’t about to send it back and wait another 45 minutes. Upon delivery Amber took our 2nd order. We once again waited close to 45 minutes. I once again got riblets. I don’t eat shrimp and didn’t want chicken but this time there are only 2 small riblets. Amber takes another order and we wait 30 minutes and during this time the heat is turned down the guest in the booth behind us have now become very young and the cussing is disgusting (seriously in a restaurant with F bombs flying) finally out comes our food and it’s once again 2 small riblets. If you are going to say ALL YOU CAN EAT and charge 14.99 then keep the portions the same! Not very happy with our last visit! Amber was very friendly but cannot handle fast...

HEALTH HAZARD WARNING!!!: Me and my family will not be going back to the rome ny location and we're probably done with Applebee's in general we only go to applebees because the kids like it for some reason and they asked us to go again. We hate the place as you get watered down drinks and deperate extremes of either over cooked or undercooked food most of the time. on top of consistent subpar food from this chain restaurant I had a thumbtack on my plate that I almost ate on this last on final visit.when we told the waitress they shifted the blame and lied to us saying that they don't have thumbtacks there and she wouldn't know where it would have came from.she goes to get the manager we explain what happened they go into the back and come back shortly after and told us that the thumbtack came from a poster on the wall above wherever they plated or prepped the food.the manager did end up refunding our dish but if they inspected each plate before it went out that wouldn't have happened and I or someone else could have gotten hurt. avoid this place there's a reason it was voted the worst restaurant...
