Big Jay's Pizzeria — Restaurant in City of Rome

I was waiting to get some slices and as I stood there for about 5 minutes no one waited on me, it wasn’t terribly busy and I understood so I walked over to the cash register the lady asked what I was getting I told her I would like some slices she never took my order and waited on someone that literally got there after I did so after taking his order than mine the slices I wanted to get the gentleman took which is fine so I asked if they were gonna make more and they said they weren’t. Moral of the story help the people that got there first and that we’re waiting and not someone that just got there while ignoring other. I wish I would have taken pics but I took the food to my wife who is in physical rehab at the moment. After a horrible experience at another pizza place in Rome this has restored my faith in pizza. The pizza was great, crispy crust, nice golden brown cheese, the sauce was delicious. Very flavorful pizza. The wings were big and juicy amd tender, the mild sauce was perfectly tangy and the wings weren't over cooked to death. One thing I've noticed is you don't get blue cheese with your wings in Rome, you gotta ask for it and pay extra.... whats that about? Every pizza place I've been to in Oswego and Onondaga county gives you blue cheese with an order of wings. That why I gave service...

Excellent pizza. Large slices. Tasty and a near perfectly crispy thin crust.

I can only speak to their slices since we came in for lunch and grabbed a couple of slices to go.

The service was good, but they are SUPER BUSY during lunch and it frankly feels crowded, or at least it did to us. Part of the issue is they have what feels like too many tables inside. There are a few picnic tables outside, but they are out in the sun. Maybe umbrellas over the tables would be a simple idea to make the outside more appealing.

Those aren’t major issues, but merely observations. I also must say that the slur is very good, especially for the quality.
