Oakland Beach Deli — Restaurant in City of Rye

Waited for sandwich for about 20 minutes but more concerning was that person making the sandwiches was the cashier as well. He had one glove on his left hand which I saw him use to tend coins and money (and no glove on the right). I never saw him swapping out the glove....who knows about the right hand...hello health department?

Update to owner's reply: it was 3 sandwiches. If you are really that concerned, then perhaps have 2 people working: 1 to prepare the food and 1 to tend to the register. If that is not feasible financially, then I don't know what to say. I waited AT LEAST 20 minutes as customers constantly came in and out while the 1 guy was trying to...

For a small deli it has large selection of beverages, the deli is decently stocked for most meals. I opted got the pre-made chef's salad which wasa good choice. It had every, cold cuts, salad (obviously), carrots, sliced boiled eggs, cucumber, and best of cranberries & croutons were on the side on the side. A great healthy choice if you want something light and keto friendly just leave out...

10/10 highly recommend! Food is delicious, prepared fast, and amazing customer service. Ask for Jeffrey he’s a master sandwich maker (only there on weekends). If you are looking for a sweet/savory breakfast sandwich ask for the Lopez sandwich :)
