The resident only beach does not allow non residents (Port Chester, Rye, Rye Brook) on the beach before 12 pm and after 6 pm, no non residents are allowed on the beach. That’s ridiculous at this point. Make it an only resident beach if you hate non residents so much there. No rules posted anywhere on the website either. All signs when you arrive. And only know about the resident thing when you get to the actual beach after paying for parking.

This beach used to be nice o agree with Victoria review and I did not know they kick all non residents after 6pm

My dad's group of friends you have their weekly summer thurday night volleyball in the summer the beach became really strict and used to let all people go on the beach after 6 pm to close as long as they paid parking fee. My dad's friend stopped doing it here in rye 2 years ago as rules have become strict and outrageous and found new location sad sad its a really beatuiful and sexy beach but the rules and fee ares are outrageous and very sad outsiders/ non residnets are no longer allowed on after 6pm how sad

Sad oakland beach at rye town park used to be a nice beach my dad's friends used to do beach volleyball every Thursday night there. But the town of rye got Stingy they have a pass for people who live on rye rye neck rye brook or Mamaroneck and port Chester. They used to allow especially on thurdays anyone to go on the beach 6pm to close as long as they paid the parking fee. Now I see they do not allow any outsider who is not a rye rye brook port chester or mamaronick after 6pm. They used to be inexpensive to go on the beach. Sadly in the last 8 to 9 years they got rude and nasty they kick you out of deep swimming at 645 and out of the water at 730 and off the beach completely at 8pm. They used to let u stay on the sand till dark. The life guard got really rude with one the people in our friend group one time. Which almost caused a verbal fight. In the last 3 years it basically became a private beach that the town of rye only want port chester rye rye neck and mamaraneck residents to use and enjoy.

My dad's friends have not done their thurday volleyball their since 2021 because if the beaches crazy rediclous rules. We now play at the the guy complex in golden bridge ny since summer of 22. We got approval from rye town park back in 2022 but with strict restrictions. The only reasons we got the approval all this is my dad's friend grew up in rye and his mom and dad still lived there and he knew people who in rye city hall. So that be that are days at that beatuiful beach are sadly no more what ashame such a nice park and beach became so cheap rude and stingy

Some photo on google maps suggest since Aug 1 -2022 residents only allowed on beach 6pm to closing. Residents with permit from rye rye neck...

Nice beach but they increased admission and parking fees that are hardly affordable. The parking is 35$ for 4 hours, comparable with NYC except that here you park on bare ground and there is no security to prevent theft and damage to vehicles. They installed some paying machines that mostly are not working than does; you have to run back and forth to pay beach admission...
