Sunshine Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in City of Rye

Sunshine Roasters isn't just my favorite coffee shop—it’s been a part of my life for years. I started going to their Larchmont location back in high school, and when they opened the new spot over a year ago, I was there from day one. They've been nothing but wonderful ever since.

The service here is truly something special. The team treats you like family—always warm, genuine, and happy to see you. It’s the kind of place where they remember your name and your order.

Now, as someone who’s a bit of a coffee snob, I can say without hesitation: the coffee here is some of the best I’ve ever had. Every cup is smooth, flavorful, and perfectly made. And If it isn't your cup of "tea", they are extremely accommodating. It’s obvious they care deeply about quality and consistency.

And don’t get me started on the pastries. Always fresh, always delicious, and the perfect companion to whatever you’re sipping. I highly recommend the cherry danish!

Sunshine Roasters has become a daily ritual for me—not just because of the coffee, but because of the heart and soul they put into everything they do. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, you’ll feel right at home. Can’t recommend it enough.

I recently visited this coffee shop for an iced espresso and a croissant.

The espresso was well-made, and the croissant had a nice flaky texture. The open atmosphere was quite inviting, and the staff were friendly and approachable, which made for a pleasant experience.

The only downside was the limited parking. There is a huge parking lot behind the coffee shop but it’s pretty full during peak hours which made it a bit tricky to find a spot.

Can you give 0 stars? In an area overflowing with excellent coffee shops to choose from, Sunshine Roasters in Rye stands out as the worst choice among them. Even ignoring the inattentive and somewhat rude staff, the cramped atmosphere, or lack of menu options; above all else: the coffee was just down right bad. The worst in this area. Always excited to see new coffee places come into the area, but sunshine roasters is simply a giant...
