As a lover of Asian food I was excited to try Saigon table, and it did not disappoint. Fabulous interior with plenty inside seating, and wonderful outdoor seating shaded from the burning sun. We ordered tamarind ribs, beef skewer and egg rolls. DELICIOUS. Cannot wait to go back again. The owner even came outside and chatted with us, lovely lady, and told us how EVERYTHING is made in-house. The rice, omg the rice, it reminded me of my trip to Thailand, and she then informed us she has it specially imported from Thailand!!! She then brought us out a green cake (can’t remember the name of it) that made with an Asian vegetable, which gives it its bright green color, and we did not feel 1 bit guilty eating it. Love the whole vibe of this place, must visit !! They even have squeezed to order orange juice (and various alcohol choices but we didn’t indulge this time). Also staff were friendly and chatty, made us feel like we’ve been life long customers and it was our 1st visit. The love, passion and authenticity the owner has put into Saigon table makes this place...
Read moreThe customer service was lacking. The place was not busy at all and I sat down with a friend. I asked the cashier do we place the order before sitting or someone comes to us, because why are we not being attended to after what seemed like 15 minutes. The shrimp roll which is grossly overpriced and the chicken skewers were good tasted fresh and the chicken skewer was done to perfection with good flavor. I Ordered the shrimp vermicelli noodles and my friend the beef. My friend stated the beef was flavorful and not overdone. The shrimp was overdone, tasted stale and I really tried to get into it with the fish sauce but it was a huge failure. I couldn’t do it. The atmosphere had these little flies on the wall constantly flying around they are not fruit flies some weird flies please work on that. Also the lychee cocktail was waaay too sweet. Unbearable to drink. I would return to have the items...
Read moreThe soft open looked amazing, people were friendly and in great spirits. The smell of the food was amazing. The menu is new so I’m hoping the owner is open to making some changes/additions to allow for more customers to enjoy it. Unfortunately the broth for the noodles is meat based only, and the only veggie/vegan dish they could offer was a salad and a spring roll which is very limiting, so anyone who is plant based or health conscious (vegetarian, vegan, or just doesn’t eat meat), there is no broth/noodle dish available for you, which is very unusual for a Vietnamese place. Hoping for more veggie/vegan friendly options in the future, I’m sure it will be delicious. Wishing the new restaraunt a lot of luck, I’m sure they will be an instant success, just hoping for more options in the future. I will happily change my review If there are more vegan friendly options available...
