Really not good at all. Fries were undercooked and soggy. It turned out the place ran out of potatoes and therefore was unable to make their fresh cut fries. How does a restaurant run out of potatoes? It would have been nice to know that before ordering.
My buffalo chicken salad was a phoned-in effort at best. Probably 3 oz of sliced chicken atop iceberg lettuce (who still uses iceberg?). There were a few cherry tomatoes and shredded cheddar that came right out of the industrial size 10lb. Cisco bag. The friendly, helpful bartender was the only thing saving this from 1-star. Totally forgettable experience and wouldn’t patronize again.
Edit: Apparently the owner of this alleged “restaurant” likes to attack anyone who leaves a less than average review of his establishment.
Free advice to the thin-skinned owner: Maybe if you spent less time barking at unsatisfied customers on Google and more time creating better recipes, buying better ingredients and curating a better menu, you wouldn’t have so many god-awful reviews. My sympathy for your customers is exceeded by that for your poor employees.
Free advice a someone considering visiting this place: Do yourself a favor and walk an additional 50 feet down the block to 20 North, a cozy, down-home place that serves up some of the best eats and drinks in the area and who by all accounts doesn’t get it cheddar from 10 lb bags.
Edit: Wow, it appears the emotionally unstable owner is still going after me months after my visit. Obviously, anyone reading this review would be warned to stay far, far away from eating here.
To reiterate, they have fries I wouldn’t serve to a dog and a tiny, flavorless, throwaway meal they allege is a buffalo chicken salad. Just go to 20 North down the street to get a higher quality, bigger-portion size meal at about half the price. Centre St is a...

Visited Centre Street Pub for the first time with my partner, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. We weren’t aware there was no table service—you have to order and pick up food at the bar. No signage indicated this, and it took about 20 minutes before the bartender came over and explained.
We ordered drinks (which my partner enjoyed), then asked for a pizza and fish & chips. We were told the pizza would take about 30 minutes, which was fine—we specifically asked for the fish & chips to come out with the pizza so we could eat together. The bartender said she’d let the kitchen know and offered an appetizer in the meantime. We ordered wings, expecting them to tide us over while we waited.
Instead, the wings and fish & chips came out together within 10 minutes, and we were told the pizza was still in the oven. So we ate what was served, and the pizza arrived about 30 minutes later—after we’d already finished our meal. At that point, I left the pizza untouched and paid the bill. No tip, understandably.
The food itself wasn’t the issue—it was the lack of communication and disregard for our request to time the meal properly. For a first visit, it left a...
Read moreWe had high hopes for your restaurant, based on the reviews. Center Street management was seemingly unprepared and short-staffed for the early dinner crowd after the Union football game. We were sitting and ignored for 25 minutes before I chased down the lone server who told us we needed to order from the bar. My wife then tried to order drinks from the bartender who was very rude to her and he was clearly overwhelmed. And things only got worse from there. After a very long wait, our appetizers finally came out at the same time as our entrees, my medium rare burger arrived well done and dried out. To make matters worse, my mother’s entree was completely forgotten and came out after we had all finished eating. The bartenders, who came in after the shift change, were very nice and did their best to serve the customers who didn’t walk out. It’s clear from the reviews that the majority of customers have had positive experiences, but we left completely disappointed and confused by how you weren’t more prepared for the influx of customers in town for...
