This little place has been on my radar since it opened years ago. My favorite dish was always the Ginger with Mushrooms entree. But with the restaurant moving across from Schenectady City Hall and its odd pandemic hours, its been a while since I've eaten there. But all that changed last night when my friend and I checked it out. We started with the Crab Rangoons, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and Thai Ice Tea. It's been a while, but the Rangoons tasted like they were made with real crab (don't quote me though), and were really good. The Vegetable Spring Rolls have always been a classic, but the Thai Ice Tea may have been the best we've ever had. No joke, order one here and check it out! For dinner, my friend ordered the Pad See Eww, which was fantastic. Perfectly cooked noodles with chicken, chunks of broccoli, carrots, garlic and kale in a yummy slightly sweet gravy. I ordered the Kao Aob Sabparod after my friend pointed it out on the menu and it's also my new favorite dish in the Capital Region. It's an amazing yellow curry fried rice dish with chicken, pineapple, raisins, onions, garlic, broccoli, cilantro, scrambled egg, peas, carrots, and cashews. The curry was perfectly mild, with those little pops of sweetness in your mouth from pineapple and the occasional raisin. The various flavors and textures created a very enjoyable savory-sweet experience. So much so, that I caught myself wanting to protect my dish like a wild animal wherever my friend reached over for ANOTHER taste. Fortunately for our friendship, I bit my lip and didn't say anything rude. 😂😁😉 Pho Queen was an overwhelmingly positive experience for the two of us. I'm so happy that they've maintained the quality and flavors that I remembered before the pandemic, and we'll definitely be coming back here on a regular basis.

Ordered food for delivery: basil fried rice was good and spicy just the way I like it but hated the pad thai (flavorless with all the noodles just stuck together and nothing else) + where were the peanuts on the pad thai? I had mentioned to give some kind of hot sauce and chopsticks on the side which wasn't in the package. Please look at the notes written on GrubHub when people order! I saw others about this on GrubHub as well. Lastly, delivery guy did not bother to come upstairs to my room to give me the food at the hotel even after mentioning my room number on the notes on GrubHub. He had refused on the phone and told me to come down and not only that, he just left it at the front desk of the hotel. I had ordered from other places while staying at the hotel and every single one came up. Wish I could take back the tip now!

Simply amazing, from the service to the food. We saw the place as we were driving to another restaurant we usually frequent, but talking to someone we almost got in an accident with, convinced us to try the place out as they said they eat there at least 2x a week. The decor is nice and unique to a thai/vietnamese restaurant, but very nice, though the music could have been muted a bit for my taste. The fried spring rolls were some of the best I've had anywhere, and the pad thai was subtly spiced instead of overbearing in peanut flavor, and I loved the fact that they crushed the peanuts pretty fine compared to most places just smashing them. I forgot what soup I ordered but it was the 4th soup on the menu, and it was perfect, great heat, depth of character, and the rice noodles were perfect.

Went here with my boyfriend to get Pho, we waited a while for the server to take our order. We ordered our food and drinks. The pho was very good but the customer service sucks, the manager had an attitude when she brought out our food. I ordered the watermelon bubble tea and it was warm and didn’t taste like anything so we asked for another drink. They brought it out but without the boba, didn’t make it a big deal. So when we asked for the bill the manager was still trying to charge us for the watermelon bubble tea that we did not drink, it was still full. She was yelling and upset and we called her over to the table to talk to her and she was very rude and nasty and called us “you people” “you people always coming in here doing this.”racially discriminating us. “We’re not a 5 star restaurant.” So my boyfriend said we’re leaving because she refused to take the drink off the bill while being rude and aggressive. She called the cops on us and the cops got her to take the drink off the bill. Will never go here again. If you are a person of color I advise you not to waste your money on this place because they do not welcome people...

On Tuesday Oct 9 I went down to the local Thai restaurant to get a hot bowl of pho .The time was 11:15 well within opening hours, the door was locked I waved & smiled at the little Thai lady to grab her attention to let yet know that the door was locked. She open the curtains on the frount door & looked at my with a face of disgust My entire " plain T-shirt jeans & some sneakers ". She turned right around asif I was trying to rob her and walked right back in the kitchen . This is not the first time I've been there so I was surprisingly shocked after spending 10 minutes of trying to get her attention I realize she didn't want to serve me because I wasn't the normal Caucasian clientele. needless to say this is the same place that I wanted to serve my dinner party at . I growing up Thai I love Thai Cuisine and the food and the spices but this place put a bad taste in my mouth instead I drove up State Street all the way down to Pho yum where they didn't criticize me and they treated me with respect . I will no longer be going to Pho queen or preferring anyone there. It's sad to see that racism still exists even in our...
