The food was good, the servers were sweet and friendly. The restaurant itself is tiny, there is no room at all for a party bigger than 6. The menu didn't have descriptors for what each item meant, so if you didn't know already, you really couldn't be sure what you were ordering. The prices were absolutely insane for what we got. The portions were tiny. I ordered a meal that was supposed to come with potatoes, cauliflower and olives along with sides of pita and rice. It was probably four good sized pieces of cauliflower, five small olives, two tomatoes and a half pound of onions(which were not listed on the menu). It came with a sauce cup of rice and no pita. My husband didn't get rice with his, or the pita. All portions were tiny. They did bring a small plate of one pita for the entire table. We each got one quarter of a pita. My husband asked for rice, they told him it was on the table. There were four meals and three sauce sized bowls of rice. It seemed like a problem, but she said she'd go get another one. We never saw any service again. Our drinks were empty, we didn't have our full or correct meals, they served the table next to us and wouldn't come back to our table. When we got the checks (2 checks, one for each couple), they had a 20% gratuity added. They said they do that for parties of five or more. They counted the two babies who didn't even get their own meals so they could add a ridiculous tip to their pockets. Also, there was no children's menu. For one appetizer, two meals and two small drinks(no refills, not even of water); for a meal we were still actively hungry after, we were charged $100. I am a small person who can be stuffed after eating a half sandwich on white bread. I was still hungry, stomach growling, after this incredibly expensive "meal". Very disappointed in...

Positive first. The food was tasty but very spicy. The whole experience was bizarre. We were told that wait 10-15 mins. After that they said that again and then offeres us a table outside even thiugh it was very cold evening, 40f and no heaters or anything. Then we got a table by the door and it was still super cold. But they did not let us sit another table because 2 high chairs does not fit there. But then, when we asked later about the high chair they realised they don't even have another.

We ordered meals with rice and pita bread. Rice was replaced with coucous without asking. Thye just hoped we do nottnotice We ordered tea and did not get it. But ONLY when we asked about it they said they dont have any. And they dis not even ask, do we want something else. It took very long ti grt food. They simple should have told us that they ar full and running out of food.

Staff was very lost and unpolite, it must be awful to work there cause manager was rude and passive aggressive. We had to seperately asked almost everything. I can not recommened to anyone. How can it be so hard to be straightforward with their own mistakes or anything. Absurd.

When we asked we got a 10%...

We went on a Thursday night during prime dinner hours. There was a 20 min wait but with no reservations that was ok with us. Food was amazing and the service was great!! Well worth the wait! We were kindly greeting with water, their house green tea and menus by our server. We decided to get signature drinks - flying fig martini and the Moroccan sunrise - both very well made and tasty. We got the Moroccan ‘cigars’ for an appetizer which were very good and the sauce on it made it even better. For the entrees we selected the lamb meatballs w/ spaghetti in a special house made sauce which was very good and meat balls were big! And we got the Chicken Tagine with tomato jam, Harissa, almonds and figs - this dish was outstanding!! Both came with a side of seasoned rice and warm pita bread. We also order the charred broccoli with garlic and that was perfectly charred and very yummy. The portions were good sized we ended up wrapping the rest of our meals and ordered desserts to go. We got the cheesecake- topped with a berry sauce and crushed pistachios and baclava- delish! Definitely...

Came here on a Wednesday before a show at proctors. We arrived at 5:10 and were seated promptly. By 5:30 the entire restaurant was full! Nonetheless our food came out promptly and was quite delicious. I had the eggplant tagine and it was perfectly spiced, savory, flavorful and sweet. I could have eaten the whole thing but wanted to save room for the baklava which i highly recommend as well! Despite the whole restaurant being full our server was prompt and attentive. I appreciate that they were aware we needed to be on time to the show. We sat near the door so i could see that even as busy as it was the maximum wait time for anyone who didn't sit at the bar instead of getting a table was about 15 minutes. Id give more than 5 stars if i could because its not easy to have such amazing food and amazing service despite being packed!

There is nothing negative to say about this restaurant. I came from out of town, was greeted with a warm ambiance and amazing smells in a family run setting. I was given thorough information about each dish I inquired about. The food itself was perfectly cooked and well seasoned and I was provided with generous portions of the wine, lamb meatballs, and spicy fig tagine I ordered. The restaurant owner was training a new chef in the kitchen. She was patient, thorough, and consistent which I am certain translates to quality and consistency of each prepared dish. The food heightened my overall experience of Schenectady and I encourage those who are able to try it to do so.
