Key Pizza — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

Had 1 good experience, after that it has been down hill!. 1st experience the breaded wings were good that was over a year ago. 2nd experience I got delivery and the order was way wrong and food was not hot. The delivery fee was $7 on top of the price of the food. Final experience was just terrible. Went in person and the store is completely disgusting and dirty. Workers were not attentive and rude. They rather be on FaceTime tha take care of customers at the counter. Food was sitting out uncovered(with large insects flying around landing on the food). Worker was dirty and unsanitary. Had a nasty arm cast on and wore no gloves. Scooped the garlic parm out of a tub, that was sitting on the floor; using a small cup with no gloves. Then sneezed at the fryer and barely attempted to cover his mouth, then proceeded to wipe his nose with his hand and sleeve then continued to cook the chicken. If i could give 0 stars I would, my boyfriend and I just ordered a simple cheese pizza w/ garlic knots from Key Pizza for the first time through GrubHub. The pizza came and all the slices were separated from each other like they all came from different pizzas. The pizza was warm, not hot, and had no sauce whatsoever just small specks of red stuff under the cheese, the garlic knots were hard on the bottom and unable to be easily bitten through. Upon asking for a refund we were given a hard time and had to contact GrubHub who contacted them and said they had to come back to pick our food back up before we could be refunded....the only reason we could think for them doing this is because they’re going to try to sell the pizza we bit off of to someone else and can only think that what we were eating was that of a previous customers. I was expecting cheap, disgusting gas station pizza but as I walked in the owner just put out some Chicken Riggies and Chicken Alfredo out and took a Chicken Bacon Ranch and a Pepperoni pizza out of the oven. He was genuinely proud of it all and offered me some pasta as a sample. I grabbed a bunch of the Alfredo for my lady and grabbed 2 slices of pizza for myself. The pizza was well made, just how I like it. The crust was a little chewy but not tough, rich and buttery but not greasy. Just the right amount of cheese and toppings. It was savory and filling without making me feel bloated. Better than most I've had around Syracuse.

The Chicken Alfredo was savory and very cheesy. My lady said it was better than the Chicken Alfredo at a well known and popular local Italian Restaurant. I agree with her.
