I tried this place 3 times before forming this review, so here it is. When kofta burger opened, i was so excited because of the potential and concept. The first time, I tried a kofta burger, which was bland (underseasoned) but I figured they were trying to target customers who don’t like a lot of seasoning, and the dish itself was edible. This was when the restaurant was pretty new, and the owner reached out on doordash and asked I give them another try. So a few months later, I tried their greek burger, which was honestly pretty good (as compared to the kofta burger), so I just chalked up my first experience to chance and figured I misjudged this place. A couple months go by and I decide to try the chicken pita. The seasoning was okay, on the lighter side (as per usual), but the pita was very burnt. I could not eat it, because it was bitter and ruined the whole experience for me. The burnt side had been strategically placed facing down in the takeout container. Serving customers burnt food is a pretty serious sign that the establishment doesn’t care about their image. There’s just no excuse to let that leave the kitchen, no matter how busy they are. I understand that accidents happen, but burnt food needs to be discarded and recooked, thats it. I gave this place multiple chances because it is a local business, and I wanted to support them. However, burnt food is just not acceptable. There are tons of local businesses in syracuse that still care about what they’re serving their customers. I personally will choose to support them instead. No idea how this place got a 4.7 review. Just baffles me. Nothing about this place is a 4.7. Even the greek burger was good, but only relative to their other food. I’ve attached a picture of the less burnt pita. The other one was also bad, but I was able to...

I've been looking forward to trying out kofta burger for some time now, I've heard many great things. We tried to order one other time but they were closed, The website said they were open but they were in fact closed that day, I also understand it's a small business so things like this can happen from time to time. We both ordered the kofta burger with a side of potato wedges. We ordered our burgers medium, they were definitely more medium-rare, luckily we aren't too picky and it was fine with us but I do know for some people that could be a huge deal breaker. The burgers were seasoned pretty well, they weren't bad at all, not great, but they definitely did not live up to the hype, in my opinion. Now the potato wedges.... I truly cannot remember the last time I had wedges this horrible, they were under cooked, soggy and greasy. I understand they probably were not going for 'traditional American wedges' but oh my goodness, even my kids wouldn't eat them. I tried a few thinking I picked one that wasn't as good or cooked etc, nope all bad. All in all I did not think it was worth the money and was very disappointed, Maybe it was an off day. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone but I may try them again in the future and update my review in hopes it was just a bad...

Kofta Burger is an absolutely incredible establishment in Syracuse. I have been wanting to try them since they opened up on James Street and was disappointed when I saw that they had closed. To my surprise, they were planning the move to their current location downtown! Their smash burgers are divinely out of this world. The charred beef patty is juicy and delicious while the toppings of garlic sauce, tomato, parsley, sumac onion, and white cheddar compliment each other perfectly with the tangy smoky sour crunch of freshness that is packed with Middle Eastern flavor. Their chicken burger has got to be one of the best pieces of fried chicken I have ever had. The outside is extremely crispy with the inside being tender and moist with no dryness. The sauce and the crisp crunch of the vegetable toppings pair nicely with the chicken. I am extremely impressed with Kofta Burger. I will be back again and again. Thank you for making a pleasurable dining experience!

EDIT: I wanted to add some more photos of the other things I have tried as well as the menu in the window. I highly recommend the Cheeseburger...
