We are members of the MOST and come several times a year. That's enough to pay for the membership, but it's also an affiliate museum so we can go to over 300 other museums for free.

The staff is always pleasant and the exhibits, although smaller than much larger cities, they're very nice for our young kids. The revamped dome movie theater is awesome and gives the intensity of movement. The content is both entertaining and educational for young and old alike. The museum isn't usually very busy, although the downstairs sees more activity than the upstairs. And the play area is better than many indoor playgrounds.

I would have to take a star because their promotions, albeit made for drawing in newcomers, are a little overstated. The exhibits upstairs need some refreshments and the balls for the play area were removed leaving the hydraulic ball blasters pointless (although it could be that they were removed for the sake of those who are afraid of germs due to the recent events). They were foam balls and the kids and adults truly enjoyed them. Please bring them back OR make some upgrades. The upstairs hasn't changed much except for a floor game of the planets. There should be as many things for all ages all over, not just things that check boxes. More people should present activities and there could be a way to imitate careers within the play area, such as building blocks can have example diagrams.

TLDR - Great value. Nice staff. Small, but kid friendly exhibits. Very enjoyable play areas. Needs a few upgrades, but the theater...

First time there. Let's start with this, ALL 9 kids had a blast throughout the whole museum ❤️ The rest are little things that us adults were frustrated with. Paying at the front- we had a coupon, wanted to see Serengeti and do the planetarium. Because we split the group up to all pay separately there was a bit of confusion apparently. When we later sat down to look at our tickets, we were charged for the wrong movie and the planetarium was never even added (good thing, that's another story) Employees- with the amount of schools in there for a field trip you would think employees would monitor the areas with large groups, there was a lot of unnecessary chaos and children were almost getting hurt because of this. Exhibits- a few of them were not working as well as a bunch were under construction, the dinosaurs had ripped off tails but the one you were able to sit on, we avoided because there was some sort of liquid (assuming pee) all over it and the seat was torn apart. Back to the planetarium- we have never been so we thought the theater was upstairs and the planetarium was downstairs (If you look at the map). Well they are the same thing and we missed the planetarium show, which we didn't pay for in the long run. All in all the kids had a great time and were able to learn a lot. I do want to shout out to the ONE employee, she worked upstairs by the aviation tower. You need more employees like her! Said hi to us all, started a conversation,...

Worth a visit, but may want to bring a couple things along from home - hand sanitizer and wipes, especially if you have littles who will be playing in the BUILD zone and touching items shared by hundreds of kids a day. The two sanitizer stations they have were empty and looked to have been for quite a while. (Really not trying to bring home the stomach bug) - Bring a proper lunch/ snacks for the kids because they’re going to be hungry from running around. The “cafe” is just a seating area next to a vending machine stocked with candy and chips. It doesn’t seem to get much use and the M&Ms we purchased had gotten soggy and stale. The kids enjoyed it and there is a good range of activities for all ages, we spent about 2.5 hours to see everything at a leisurely pace. You can tell a lot of love and thought was put into the various displays at the time of creation but are showing their age. Bathrooms were very clean and easy to get around with a stroller. Parking: attached a photo from the MOST website. When looking at the building “Trolley Lot” parking is to the left through a stone tunnel $7-8 a day for parking. (included the QR code image to pay for parking online) Entrance is on the right side of building with a ramp for accessiblity. The MOST says on website there is a discount for Trolley parking if you book ahead through their page but I didn’t give it a try.
