Tang Flavor Chinese Food Square — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

It saddens me to write this review but I have to as it will give insight to other potential customers or current customers. I was a frequent reoccurring customer for the last month and half. Having the place at least 2/3 times a week. I loved their food. Today however my experience was different and eye opening. I placed an order and went to pick up per usual. When I got back to work I opened the box to see that my meal had mushrooms in it, in which I am allergic to. I immediately called and stated my concern, I figured this was a small issue, and an easy fix as I did not want my money back just to get a new meal. When I got back to the store I was told I should have said "no mushrooms" however on their menu it does not state that they had mushrooms in it to begin with. After being extremely polite and understanding with the owner she began to become rude and aggravated. I even showed her how on their menu they have other items that states what comes with it. The irony is right below the "curry chicken" they have a "chicken with mushrooms order" so I was completely confused as to why what I was bringing to their attention was a big deal. I was told I would not receive a refund, nor exchange and when I stated I would hate to no longer patronize their establishment the owner looked at me and laughed. It was very eye opening because her energy was as if I was attempting to get something for free or as if I was in the wrong, and the laugh was all the more telling. I'm not one to jump to racism, or prejudice but I truly believe the color of my skin had a great effect on my experience. We wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant to broaden our options for whenever we are in the area, we live about an hour away. Red Chili is our all time go to place for authentic Chinese but wanted to give Tang Flavor a try. So, it was just OK 👌, to be fair I guess. 🤷‍♀️

We dined-in and there were no type of AC or air flow, it was just hot/humid 🏜; I couldn't wait to get outside to cooler air. 🌬⛅️

The food was wayyy on the salty side, like every thing we ordered was salt flavored🧂; if you got past the saltiness, then the flavor would be there, that spiciness, that Sichuan flavor. 🔥

They forgotten the dan dan noodles we ordered, but we didn't say anything because we were so salted out already ... andddd good thing it wasn't on our bill, no need to have words exchanged about it. 😅

The lady that works there is extremely rude and prejudice. I am 8 months pregnant went there to eat with my 3 boys and she treated us like we were nothing. Apparently she was frustrated because we wanted to dine in so she kept giving us the food to go and the drinks in bags and making us pay ahead of time. She would say PAY NOW! With an attitude did this a couple of times until I saw that they had people dining in the booths inside the restaurant and walked further in and sat down. She was serving the other people but refused to serve me and my kids. She send the guy that was cooking to bring us our food and continued to argue with him. I didn't understand why she had it out for me so bad but daw that the other customers were american and chinese and we were the only Spanish ones.
