I was craving tacos so I went to this Latin restaurant because I checked online they had pretty cheap tacos. They didn't disappoint!
Food: average: 8/10
4 piece carnitas tacos: $10 Compared to other restaurants I've looked at, one taco costed average about 6-7 dollars. So this was an amazing deal! Taco is very good, it had onion, cilantro and lime. Very filling, the only thing was it was a bit greasy. 8.7/10
Medium Combo meal: yellow rice with pepper steak: $10 It was decent, nice texture with the steak, rice was good. I'll ask for less broth next time because it made my rice a bit too soggy. 8/10
Vanilla Flan: $4 I've never had flan before so I thought I would try it! It's pretty good, too sweet for my liking, but I don't usually like sweet things in general. But it's a nice treat to have once in a while! 7.5/10
Service and ambience: 10/10 peaceful atmosphere, place was very clean and people were friendly!
Overall for the price it's great, if you're craving for Latin food and want something on the cheaper side this is the place to go! I definitely will come back to try the other things on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMi Casa Grande is the real deal! The food was amazing. Iāve only been once, but bought several items for me and my family. I moved here from NYC and Iāve missed Latin/Spanish food terribly. This restaurant has filled that void for me.
Pernil with Cuban rice and yuca - all amazing Beef and cheese empanada - absolutely delicious
My husband had the stewed chicken and baked chicken with Puerto Rican rice and a chicken and cheese empanada. He enjoyed all of his food.
Iām definitely going to be a regular. I also plan on spreading the word about how yummy their food is. Iāve heard that new āethnicā food places go out of business fairly quickly in Syracuse and I want this place to be here as long as I live here!
Follow up/update: August 2021. I have been there many times since I wrote the review above. The food that I have gotten from them has been consistently delicious. Iāve had oxtails, pork chops, pork chunks, and fried chicken. They seem to have a steady stream of customers whenever Iām there. It is one of my favorite restaurants...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk I was excited to hear that there is a place that brought pupusas to upstate NY. I've been missing it since I originally from Westchester county and surrounding area has El Salvadorian restaurants. I have tried from new Rochelle, Port Chester, Glen cove to NJ each had its own style but all are delicious. I wish I could say that this made place made amazing pupusas but I was disappointed š the pupusas are on that bland side not enough flavor and the curtido was definitely disappointing barely has any taste to it. Plus they don't serve it with the Salsa Roja that complements that brings everything together. That was absent I missed that what I got was salsa Verde which it isn't the same. I wish I could recommend to try it but I can't. Pupusas are very delicious when done right. Very disappointed. Staff is friendly though and the place is clean. I'll stick to going down...
