After years of eating at all the local spots (Bamboo Garden, Peking, and New Great Wall) I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in White Plains. The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). My wife, who usually gets headaches when MSG is used, had no issues here, which says a lot. The current owners seem passionate yet the days & hours that they are opened are inconvenient at best. I appreciate the cuisine but it seems like they are on a different schedule if you are able to understand that. I probably sound like an asshole but the specific hours and 3 days closed are suspect. Are they so proficient that they can operate that way and consistently be profitable? Read moreThe food is very good but they are not too loyal to customers. The hours are very limited close during peak 3-5pm everyday. It’s like siesta time!! Closed Mondays is ok. The hours posted on door are not honored. For example Sunday open 1130am went at 1215pm and it closed no sign posted. You call to place an order get answering machine.
