3 years ago when I purchased my Ioniq 5 I got a 2 years free charging at Electrify America, which made me discover this station, 28 miles away from home, and use it every time I had to travel to the city. Now the free plan is gone, and this station is still far from my residence. But when I am in the White Plains area I like to stop for a fill up, and use the charging time to shop to the excellent Marshall shop right next. There are only three fast charging stations and these days they are always full, with EVs waiting in line for 15-30 min. The recharging stations have been renovated and two of them in theory support up to 350 kW, but in my experience they rarely exceed 96 kW (I usually get 150kW, in select occasions up to 200-240kW, but in other EA stations). These ones don't seem to be the fastest, but the parking area is well organized, sufficiently lit at night and the chargers look new, which hopefully makes them reliable (the older ones, capped at 150...
Read moreThese photos are from the O Mandarin restaurant. We go to this shopping centre to charge our multiple electric vehicles. The restaurant is closer than the far superior Central Seafood, walking while the car charged. I paid dearly for my laziness. Twice the price of the superior dim sum at Central Seafood, the restaurant was very pricey, twice the cost of Central Seafood. The service was officious and indifferent. The chicken was prepped poorly and had some inedible gristle. Sat next to loud babies by an uncaring hostess in the direct path of the busy kitchen I tried to leave in half an hour. I was asked during my 30 minutes stay if I was done four times by overeager busmen intent on flipping tables. Standing and waiting to pay the cheque they asked me to move thrice. The staff need to be retrained and the kitchen overhauled. Pretty decor doesn't warrant this poor restaurant and its...
Read moreH mart is one of my favorite store, but not this one. (The one in Cambridge, MA is fantastic.) I love the infinite variety of prepared and fresh food at H Mart. The three restaurants (Koreans, Chinese and Japanese) and the French bakery are a bonus. What is not great is the single woman's bathroom, which was disgusting ( I will spare you my horror). It is not clear why they do not have an employee check on the sanitation issue, since there seems to be an employee dedicated to watching the customer shopping at every aisle straightening out the items; there is an employee watching you shop, unhappy you are leaving the aisle touching and reading the labels of items! The price of the items was exorbitant and was higher than the Whole Foods. As I am new to the area, I have not checked out the Wegmans nearby. I am...
