Where do I start...if I could give this place 10 stars I would. From expectations being surpassed to new and reinvigorated ambiance to great service from Camila. I enjoyed my time here and recommend it to anyone as a Mexican national that enjoys true Mexican dishes over the common fare that you find at a regular Mexican restaurant. They still carry all the usual suspects (burritos, quesadillas, tacos) but they also cater to those individuals that want a more decent entree (mole poblano, tampiqueña, huaraches, mariscos, etc).

We almost didn't come here cause of some low star reviews that I would not take seriously AT ALL. The food is flavorful, delicious and worth the price. Sure prices are going up...everywhere...but from what I could tell they are putting that money to good use and serving a large dish with sazon and and quality meat.

We went for Mexican Independence Day. There were a handful of busy tables. Their drinks were fantastic! We got a frozen mango margarita, a frozen coconut margarita and an Ay Mezcalita. The frozen drinks come in a very large margarita glass. Highly recommend it if you want a decent size drink. I had a Taco Placero de Chile Relleno que está de morirse. La verdad si cuesta un poquito más que un taco normal pero vale la pena y se puede compartir como aperitivo para dos o uno para una cena simple y llenadora.

From there my wife got a skirt steak entree option and this is the best skirt steak I have ever gotten at any restaurant, whether it be Mexican or American fare. The skirt steak is thick and large, and it had amazing flavor like everything else. They have about 4-6 skirt steak entree variations, and if they use the same quality meat for all those varietions then you will not be disappointed. I can only imagine how good the ribeye is.

I got a few Independencia dinner specials. The Chile en Nogada was amazing! A traditional Mexican dish in late August and September that brings out Mexican tradition. I called a handful of upscale Mexican restaurants near the White Plains area and no one was serving or knew what this dish was. The fact that Mariachi Loco was serving it for this festive holiday shows that they care about tradition and want to serve cultural dishes to their clients. We also ordered Pambazos and they were superb. I also recommend checking their Instagram for special events and weekly specials.

FYI they are going to be celebrating their 1 year anniversary in Nov since reopening after the pandemic. They closed for a few years to remodel and the renovations are amazing. This place is a gem. A little hidden but trust me...THIS PLACE IS AMAZING AND WORTH YOUR TIME.

Mucha suerte y bendiciones!

P.S. the image is of the Chile en Nogada. I wish I had taken more pictures. When I go back I will and hopefully I can post another...

I've been a patron of this restaurant for as long as I can remember, at least 15 years. A few weeks ago I ordered lunch for a coworker and myself, I called in the order on a Saturday and the person who answered the phone seemed to have trouble and took my credit card information 3 times, finally another employee got on the phone and all was well, or so I thought. A few days later I noticed there were 3 charges on my credit card for this one order. I called thestore several times and finally got the "owner" on the phone, his son called me shortly thereafter, and promised the charges would be credited. The refund has never come, I've subsequently called back 3 times over the past 3 weeks since then and each time am told it will be taken care of, my phone number taken by the guy on the other end (owner, his son, who knows) and a callback promised that never came. I remained polite and understanding throughout the whole process, always saying please and thank you, I know how hard it is being a business right now. I could have disputed this through my credit card at the beginning but I wanted to give the business owner the benefit of the doubt that they would correct their error and do the right thing. Perhaps being pleasant over the phone was my problem? Perhaps I should have been more demanding on the phone, maybe that would have gotten this taken care of?

Unfortunately, refunding my money and extending the most basic level of customer service and follow through was not important to this business and therefore they have lost a lifetime customer and earned a 1 star review. Refunding money that doesn't belong to you should be a priority, and I know it is not hard to do on the credit...

I used to go to Mariachi Loco at least once a week. For me it was the closest to an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. I went once on a Saturday around 1:00 pm with my children, I order a huarache and they order sopes, since I'm Mexican I knew what I was ordering for my children , first of all it took forever for the waitress to take the order and for there food to arrived, my huarache came out first and there food came at last, once she brought the food, the sopes had green hot sauce with beans, which is totally the opposite of what that Mexican sopes dish should look like, I called the waitress and explained her that my kids didn't eat spicy food if she could asked the kitchen if they could make an order for them the correct way without the green sauce, in which her answer was no, "that's the way we make them here", I asked her if she could asked the kitchen, she came back with a plastic bag and said, the kitchen is going to make them, but you have to pay for this order as well, I was just shocked, I asked her to speak to the manager or the owner in which she reply that he wasn't on site. I asked for the billed and left. I took my children to an authentic Mexican restaurant in New Rochelle. Such a bad experience never went back. The waitress staff it's just rude and the food takes forever to come, despite the fact everything has...

First time here, stopped by to pick up an orchata. Waitress cameback with a disposable medium cup of orchata full of ice and I kindly said, I don't want ice, she made an angry gesture and just looked at me, I said, something wrong with having an orchata with no ice? None of them said a word, except to say the price of the drink. Then she cameback with an orchata with no ice, so I said, thank you very much, and silently, I was given the same look. Bad service, never tried their food, and this review is only about their service.

Been coming to Mariachi loco for yearsss & honestly the reopening has been the best thing that’s happened. The place itself is clean and simple. The food is delicious super authentic, filling and worth every penny. My server Macrina is a sweetheart, she can really guide you in what to order, she is very attentive and has good bed side manner. The bus boys are super nice & helpful as well. I plan on coming back, this is my new go to & favorite Mexican spot in white plains!
