Sad to say that in all of my years of patronage in any establishment, this has by far been the worst - at one of the simplest businesses possible - a pizza shop. Two slices of pizza for my daughter and I had resulted in an experience (by the OWNER of all people) that was extremely unprofessional, rude, and demeaning. After picking up my daughter from school, we stopped in to order a Sicilian and buffalo chicken slice, nothing out of the ordinary. When the pizza was ready, I asked one of the workers to cut it, and requested plastic utensils. Apparently, that's a mortal sin at this shop considering that the OWNER immediately jumped in, took the buffalo slice out of the worker's hand, and in a vary nasty and disrespectful tone, said flat out that he was not there to babysit me and continuing to question why I would need plastic utensils. It was as though this was the first time the OWNER ever heard such a request - absurd! Even worse, he then threw the slice on the counter and walked away. In shock, I grabbed my chicken pizza and proceeded to ask another worker for a fork. Chalking it down to sour mood or bad day on his behalf, I sat down with my daughter and attempted to enjoy my slice ultimately impossible by how disrespected I felt. Two other gentlemen that were getting ready to leave told the owner how disrespectful he had been and explained that you don't treat anyone in that manner. The OWNER then proceeded to tell them that he was not there to babysit anyone continuing on. I asked to speak to the Owner and stood in the far corner of the counter. In a low tone, in my attempt to not embarrass him or escalate the situation, I proceeded to tell him that he owed me an apology because I am a paying customer and my money is worthy of any service they provide, including a plastic fork and cut slice. However, in a very loud voice, he went on to instead tell me that he was right, again stating that he was not there to babysit, and has been in business for 35 years (shocker). I asked him to please lower his voice as I was speaking to him in a very low, calm tone in order to remain respectful to the other customers in the shop, and point blank, he told me to that if I didn't like the service, not come back. What bothers me most about his situation is that in all sincerity, I strongly believe that I was treated this way based on discriminatory animus. It was clear that because I am a woman, and I am a Hispanic woman, he somehow thought it was perfectly acceptable to treat me this way as a person, patronage aside. I will NEVER return to this pizza shop, recommend them, and will advise all of the parents and my daughter's school community of this awful experience. There are way too many small businesses that are deserving of my patronage, less one that disrespects and demeans women because they are trapped in another generation. Gravely...
Read moreI had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this pizza shop. When I came in to pick up my order, my hands were full, and I asked the server if they could help me by placing the pizza in the bag. Instead of assisting, they looked at me and said, "Why can't you put the pizza in the bag yourself?" — a completely unnecessary and disrespectful response.
What made this worse is that I watched the same server bag orders for the white customers ahead of me without hesitation. As a Black man, I couldn’t ignore the stark difference in how I was treated. It felt dismissive and frankly discriminatory.
This wasn’t an isolated incident either. My sister and several of her Black clients have also had negative experiences at this same location. It seems there’s a pattern here — and it's unacceptable.
We all deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of our race. Unfortunately, this establishment has made it clear that isn’t a priority. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreThis place sucks big time! First of all, they have a minimum of $20 to use a debit card, which is ridiculous, I asked him if he could make an exception to charge my $10 dollar order, he said "it costs me $3 dollars to use the machine", to which I replied that it's the cost of doing business, he didn't care and I had to get cash. I ordered a chicken roll. The chicken roll was white inside, it didn't have any sauce. I asked for a side of sauce, it was like I was bothering them. To make it all worse, the chicken roll tasted like chicken soup. A waste of $6.25. Terrible place to eat, I wouldn't ever go back again. I guess they make their money off drunk people with numb taste buds. The only thing that was good at this place were the napkins, they were actually...
