We ordered a princess cake and a dozen cupcakes TWO weeks in advance for my daughters birthday. Carolina has a catalog with samples of her cakes and our daughter was super excited to have a pink princess castle. The cake pickup was at 3pm but was not ready. My husband had to return twice to the shop. On the last trip he still was made to wait as Carolina quickly rushed the job without wearing a mask (but then wore it at the end half way down with nose exposed.) My husband even had to ask her to write Happy Birthday on the cake as she had not. We recieved the cake from her at 5pm when party was almost over and were overcharged by $10 which we realized after. Upon opening we were very disappointed with both the cake and cupcakes. The end result was a poorly made pale cream colored cake verses the bright pink one we were expecting and minature pale cream cupcakes with rings on top. None looked like the catalog picture (I have attached pictures). To add to the matter she literally stuck a toy castle at the top that she purchased on amazon and used only 1 piece from a 3-piece piece. We hoped the taste would makeup for the appearance but they cake tasted dry and frosting was stale. When we reached out to her she replied with hostility refusing to admit that the cake and cupcake looked nothing like what been expected. She gave us back the $10 she overcharged us with and $10 as a partial refund (we paid $140 total) She told us that she we can publish any sort of bad review of her bakery and that she hopes she never sees us again. When it comes to customer service she truely gets a 0. My advice is that you skip this bakery and save yourself...

I really wonder who is giving this place good reviews, because the bad reviews are 100% correct. I decided to order my son's 5th birthday cake from here because of the good reviews. I dismissed the bad reviews, but I regret my decision. The bad reviews are all true! I ordered my son's cake on March 15th, and asked for it to be ready for April 6th at 1:30pm. This is PLENTY of time to have a cake prepared for the date and time requested. As other reviewers said, she was a little cold and had a bit of a rude temperment when I first placed my order, but I didnt mind as long as the cake tasted good and was ready on time. I called her on April 5th to make sure my cake would be ready on the 6th at 1:30pm, and she said SURE! I arrived at the bakery to pick up my cake 30mins later at 2pm on April 6th, and she said she needed 20 more minutes. NOT ACCEPTABLE! My son's party started at 3pm so I had to rush to the venue to set up and have his father pick up the cake 20mins later. The cake was late to the party, which is not the worse part. The WORST part is the cake did not look like what I ordered! It was a sloppy, lopsided, mess. You can tell that she was rushing and put the frosting on when the cake was HOT. So the frosting melted by the time the cake got to the venue and the cake was falling apart. It was terrible and my guests said the cake was DRY and too crumbly. I will NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. Poor customer service, late cake, not what you ask for, sloppy, dry cake, and lady is more rude than nice. DO NOT RECOMMEND. The first pic is what I asked for. The second pic is what I...

Was looking for a wedding cake that wouldn't break the bank and I'm glad I found this place!

Price: We got 2 two-tiered cakes with simple icing and it came out to $145 per cake. (yes.. it is a lot for a cake but wedding cakes in most other bakeries were WAY more expensive).

Taste: They have different cake flavor options but we tried the dominican cake with guava filling for one cake and dulce de leche filling for the other. (We had 2 separate cakes for 2 receptions). Both were delicious and i preferred guava and my wife preferred the dulce de leche. Even though they usually don't do free tastings, Carolina was nice and let us sample a tiny bit of each when we visited to place our order. I liked how the cakes were a bit different from your typical white or choco flavors. We added our own flowers to make it pretty but you can also ask them for different designs/decorations. Either choose something from their instagram @carolinasdesserts or ask for your own custom one.

Communication: This part I appreciated at a lot because we had a lot of questions and some changes to our cake orders but we were able to chat with the bakery through Whatsapp or by phone and on wedding day, the cakes were great.

TLDR: affordable, tasty wedding cake!! (also their tres leches...

Love the quality of the baked goods made by Carolina. Have been going to her bakery for many years, and the dominican style cake and frosting (suspiro) is delicious. Have yet to find another bakery in Yonkers or nearby that can compare to the flavor of the dominican cakes and fillings. Also, my family loves to get the individual desserts of flan and cheesecake. At times, I have had an order delayed, but I completely understand as she is a small business/bakery owner that personally completes most orders. Also showing my appreciation for completing my order, which I placed with short notice and she accommodated me due to the impending snow storm. *side note* prices have increased, which is necessary due to inflation but still worth it. Also, picture of cake that looks misshapen was due to my mistake when opening.
