Famous Peppino’s Pizza — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

My boyfriend ordered a plain pie and garlic bread, which were fine, average. He ordered a chicken francese hero which was pretty good, but it came with lettuce and tomato on it (which we found to be very weird because they were soggy from the sauce; he picked them off because he’s allergic to raw vegetables - we didn’t think we’d need to mention that because who puts lettuce and tomato on chicken francese??)

I ordered fettuccini Alfredo, which was beyond bland. The sauce literally tasted like milk, absolutely no flavor. I tried to doctor it up, but it just wasn’t good. I also ordered bruschetta, which was 85% onions and vinegar dumped on top of hero bread. It was fine, but so vinegary I couldn’t finish more than one piece. It came with a lot, which would’ve been great if it tasted better...

Overall, the place is okay if you stick to basic pizza and heroes, but beyond that, it’s really not all that good. I had high hopes for it, and we were super let...

Had delivery twice both times sent the driver to Yonkers and not Tuckahoe. Both times food came cold. Called the place old man basically said to bad and hung up. Called back the other arrogant man for on the phone and said nothing he could do about it now. Said next time he would take care by giving me something off. He said not his fault driver put it in the GPS and picked the closest. News flash - you make sure they know the correct town since it happened before. I said my food was cold he said he was to busy to help me and it was in a hot bag. Driver called me at 5:49 didn’t get to my house till 6:10. Was already in the bag at least 10-15 min going to the wrong address. I said this is the second time this has happened he said yeah well not my fault I said you should take care of us this time. He said yeah no I’m busy next time. I don’t know who is running this one in Yonkers but it is not the same as in Somers. Hope they are embarrassed and...

I ordered pasta with broccoli oil and garlic. I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be consistent and the food was always good to great. I cook a lot of Italian food and I know that this pasta was likely put in the to go container, stuck together and unseasoned (no salt in the water I'm guessing) and not sauteed with the broccoli and garlic. The broccoli was over cooked and there wasn't enough garlic but the garlic was so under cooked that the broccoli had no flavor. I couldn't put enough Parmesan on it to make it any better and had to throw it away without even eating half. My wife had penne with broccoli and Alfredo sauce. Her food was bland and the pasta was overcooked and falling apart. The broccoli, again, over cooked and dumped on top. She too couldn't finish even half.
