Double Six Deli — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

This is exactly what I think about when I think of a TRUE New York Deli!

I worked down the street in Yonkers for about 6 months a few years back and this place was my Go-To for a grilled pastrami hero, to this day Ive not found one that compares, and believe me, I've looked! Sadly I live in Texas and we don't know the first thing about sandwiches down here. All that aside the owner is AMAZING and he is in his Deli almost everyday making sure that every customer is satisfied with their sandwiches, the staff he has is top notch and consistently churn out the best sandwiches, I'm gonna say, in the ENTIRE country!

Menu highlights for me include:

-Grilled Pastrami Hero(don't change a thing, it's perfect)

-The Diablo -The grilled chicken roasted pepper and pesto Hero -The quesadillas are amazing -The Breakfast Burritos are amazing as well(they're certainly the best you will find in town, with incredible portions to boot)

Everything this place produces will "WOW" you, but I can't think of a day in the last 3 years that I haven't longed for one of their grilled Pastrami Heros. Do yourself a favor and head there immediately! If your on the fence about this place, rest assured, this is the safest bet you'll make your entire life! I've contemplated flying to New York just to eat...

I have lived right near this little deli for a year and a half and have just now tried it...I am SO sad I didn’t try it a year and a half ago. It is DELICIOUS. I had a pastrami sandwich and my boyfriend had a Philly cheesesteak. They were both delicious. We also had fries...they needed a bit of salt but they are SO good. I can’t say enough great things about this deli! The food is consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients and generous portions.
