One Pier Steakhouse — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

My husband and I went to One Pier and were pleasantly surprised. Yonkers isn’t known for having any good steakhouses, but One Pier stands out! For appetizer we ordered the butter shrimp and we wished we could get a spoon so we could just chug the leftover sauce in the platter, it was that good!. The shrimp was cooked just right, not rubbery.

For entree, I ordered the ribeye and mashed potatoes and my husband ordered the filet mignon with truffle fries. Both were cooked to medium rare like we requested and were the most tender steaks ever!! The sides were also amazing. The mash was just perfect because sometimes in restaurants, the mashed potato is very gummy, not here.. it was so fluffy! The truffle fries were also so delicious that my normally “I just want 3 pieces of fries” finished the entire order.

The dessert deserves its own paragraph, so here goes. We ordered the bread pudding.. but it was no ordinary bread pudding. It was 3 pieces of bread soaked in the delicious mixture and either pan fried or baked. It was also topped with the most delicious vanilla ice cream ever. So this bread pudding combined with the vanilla ice cream literally created some kind of heaven or oasis in my and my husband’s mouth.

I can’t complete my order without mentioning the staff. Every single person there is amazing and made sure the food was good and we were comfortable.

The ambiance is also very attractive. An 18% gratuity was ordered to the check.

So it was my first time here and i was excited about a steakhouse in yonkers. That moment died once the steak came out. The drinks great… the service good… the sides were great but the steak.. terrible. I sent my steak twice back and it still wasn’t right. Half of my ribeye was fat. They left the butcher twine on my steak and i found out what it was after chewing for a minute because it was not noticeable. The steak didnt have much taste. The prices for a steakhouse was great but i see why. Lack a flavor and cheaper quality of steaks. Once the bill they came they still charged in full which was upsetting after complaining about the steak 3x. They did compliment one but only after speaking to a manager. I’ve been to many steakhouses and never had an experience like i had today. The staff were helpful, but when u think of steakhouse this is not what you expect.I would definitely come back but not for any steaks sadly. The presentation was a winner for me along with the flavor of the food match🔥🔥🔥 The only thing that I didn't like was the auto 18% tip added to a party of two. When my sister/sisters and I go anywhere to dine, we are OVERLY GENEROUS however, that is according to how you deal with us along with other things we vote on. Due to the company having a policy of auto tip, they truly can turn a person off by taking away their privilege of choice and rate. Now the place wasn't crowded at the moment and due to a sun shower, we moved inside. Our second waiter was good BUT not better than the gentleman who first served us while we were outside. He was worth more than 18%!!! The only thing I encourage the owners to take into consideration is the auto gratuity. We, New Yorkers are consistently getting robbed of having choices or opinions, don't become our government when your food and drinks are divine‼️ We will be back and I recommend this...
