Read moreAbsolutely THE worse experience and coffee Iâve had in NY this far. Came in with my husband and 6 year old. Ordered a chai latte with shot of espresso, husband ordered a simple cappuccino and son ordered a hot chocolate. Please explain how these simple drinks came out to be $28! The young woman working was very unpleasant, seem bothered by everything and everyone. The coffee shop was clean and well stocked with desserts and pastries however the vibe was hostile. My chai latte was mediocre tasting, the cappuccino was bad and the hot chocolate tasted just like one you can make in the microwave. Definitely NOT love at first sip! Sadly, this experience left us not only feeling robbed but left a bad taste in our mouth from both the coffee and the service.
In response to coffee shop response: Here's a suggested response to the coffee shop owner:
Thank you for taking the time to respond. However, I must clarify a few points. The cup sizes at your shop are not larger than normal. We visited another nearby coffee shop shortly after and found their drinks were the same size, but less expensive and tastier.
I understand the 80-cent charge for the oat milk substitute, but I was charged for a double shot of espresso when I only requested a single shot for my chai latte (see attached picture). Additionally, you didn't mention the 4% service fee that was added without any notice to the customer.
Paying $6.00 for a hot chocolate is quite excessive. The cappuccino I ordered had no foam and was essentially a café au lait.
I hope you take this feedback into consideration to improve...
Read morePLEASE READ MY REVIEW!!!! So it took me awhile to write this review because I wanted to give myself time to think about it. The prices are alil high but I donât mind paying when food is good and SERVICE. The Service here was horrible and itâs sad because Iâve met the owner and I even supported this business at the Riverdale location. One of the ladies that were hired at this location charged me for a free item, I spoke to the mgt and nothing was done about it. So, I will not be giving my hard earned money to a business that doesnât respect it and hires ppl that donât represent the business well. Itâs clearly a representation of the expectations of the business. I supported this business at least 3-4 times a week. Spending on average $15 a visit. Thatâs alil over $2K a year I spend btw the both locations! So I rather spend my money with another business who also support their customers. I hope you read my review and understand and focus on customer service with your employees. They will hurt your business. Thank you.
Editing my review⊠the âfree itemâ was a paper bag. I was charged for a bag for my piece of cake. I contacted you after and asked if that was accurate since I have never been charged .25 for a bag. You said I was not supposed to be charged. Itâs the principle and not the amount. Youâre so stuck on money that you couldnât even offer to refund me the money which was crazy to me. Being charged .25 for a bag is insane, I wonder how many others were wrongly charged by your untrained employer. So I decided to not shop your...
