The Whistlin' Donkey — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

I would give this place more stars if it would let me. I travel for business and like to try as many places as possible on my trips, however I was hooked from day one and went back multiple times. Not only the staff but the regulars make you feel welcome in the establishment. It was very refreshing for a weary traveler. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have not had one bad thing. The Cornbeef Reuben is amazing with large slices of Cornbeef. I dare you to find a better pint of Guinness in the states. My only suggestion is bring cash. Big group of us (over 20) called in for breakfast before a match in Gaelic Park. Service, cleanliness and staff hospitality were second to none, before I even mention the food. Breakfast was so good we called back after the match for dinner. Even though it was very busy the staff, accommodated us and the food was excellent, would highly recommend for both food quality and price. Racism at its finest. Came here today with my boyfriend we are both African American. I being the foodie in the relationship wanted to grab food I waited at the bar(while we were seated at the table at which our bartender didn’t come over to, to ask if we wanted food) for about 2.5 mins while she ignored me.
