Vibes 3 — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

I’ve visited the Queens locations and absolutely loved them—Vibes 1 and 2 are phenomenal. Unfortunately, this location was a huge disappointment.

For starters, I asked for spinach and was given string beans instead with no explanation. While I understand items may run out or be out of stock, I would have appreciated the courtesy of being asked what I’d prefer as a replacement. You don’t know people’s allergies or preferences, and as a paying customer, we deserve the option to choose—not have something assumed for us.

The food overall was extremely underwhelming. The mac and cheese and chicken wings were bland, and the Jack Daniel wings were mid. The only thing I really enjoyed were the yams. The biggest letdown was the $27 catfish platter, which came with just one small strip of catfish.For that price, I was expecting at least...

I have been here a few times and the food is consistently good. Small establishment and one of the very few places in Yonkers that has good catfish. They have hot food already made like mac and cheese, garlic mash and turkey wings. Other foods are made fresh on the spot. Only suggestion I would make is to display the menu on one of the 3 TVs they have or a large printed menu on the wall. Right now they only have a small paper menu in front of the register which makes it difficult when its busy and especially for those who are new and trying to decide. Small clean take out restaurant nestled in a quiet residential area in Yonkers. We believe in supporting small businesses. The food is not the best, not the worst either. Honestly there is no constancy in the seasoning of the food. We ordered seafood and chicken wings tossed in sauce. Hubby had Catfish and shrimp combo, mac n cheese and green beans(frozen not fresh).
