Captain D's — Restaurant in Clanton

Do not expect any customer service or clean hands and noses.

Its a fried fish fast food restaurant so my expectations are not on par with a Michelin five star restaurant. I understand a drive thru type place that cooks to order, is going to take longer getting the order. I understand the under staffed and over worked employees are fed up by noon. However, I do expect that basic hygiene practices are being observed, not blowing your nose on your shirt as you prep my order. I expect the person preparing the drinks to not have batter crusted hands. My order was $19.67, I was never spoken to, never looked at other than to glance my way as they handed me the drinks. Our food was inedible (Captain D's usually has a decent fish fillet.) Our drinks had floating bits of batter. I did not have time to take everything inside, complain, wait for an assistant manager to make inquiries and then wait another 20 minutes for a fresh meal. I wish I had read these reviews before eating here. At least my food was edible, unlike many of the other comments here. My fish was fresh but overcooked, shrimp had been sitting a while. Cleanliness was decent enough. But the attitudesand time... Wow. I thought I had offended the staff by the way I was treated, but it seems they treat everyone like this. The two girls at the counter clearly hadn't wanted to leave their thrones to come here today. I think one said maybe 5 words taking my order and nothing more. The worker bringing the tray out set it down in front of me and left without a single word or even a response to my "thank you". And on a Thursday evening, without it being busy, and seemingly a full staff, it took 22 minutes in prime dinner time to get a single meal. 5:23 to 5:45.
