I wish I took a photo, ordered the daily special that at $15 didn’t seem like that great of a “special” . It was French toast with blue berries and whip cream with a meat choice. The waitress was friendly at 1st, got our food fairly quick, there were not many other people there at 10:00am on a Monday. The French toast looked beautiful, but the bottom was covered in some type of fennel or anise seeds and one taste and it was horrible 🤢I really hate to refuse to eat what I order but what on earth were they thinking? The waitress came back and asked how it was and I had to be honest and told her it was horrible she took it back and I was brought a new plate without seeds. When the waitress came back I said well it’s good but I didn’t get my blueberries and whip cream that I paid extra for 🙄 she just stood there then walked away. No discount or apology for getting it wrong. If you are going to serve some weird bread with seeds please state that. Very expensive French toast. I can’t say I’d recommend this establishment, very...
Read moreStopped here on our to Otsego Lake on a Tuesday morning. We got here around 10 so they were still serving breakfast. Cute space with wonderful wood floors. Server came to our table quickly and she was friendly and helpful (she pointed us to the post office). A big plus was extra napkins on the table!
Coffee is really good! I ordered the French toast with sausage and hubby order the breakfast panini with all the meats. When I asked hubby how his sandwich was he said "amazing"! Mine was yummy as well with just the right amount of eggyness. Nice touch was having the wrapped pats of butter on top to melt them a bit. Probably the best French toast I've had. The sausage links are large with great taste.
Would have given 5 stars if we didn't have to wait for refills for our coffee. The waitress actually sat at another table chatting.
They also have a gift shop at the front of the "house". Another plus, the bathroom is cute 🙂.
Would definitely come again, maybe for...
Read moreIf cafe foods are your jam then this is your place. Think paninis, pies and croissant sandwiches, when you consider visiting this establishment. I had the chicken, spinach, bacon and pesto panini. It was delish! I also tried the savory black bean soup and the sweet pumpkin-apple-bacon soup. Both were great! Hit the spot. We finished off our meal with a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie. It was delicious too but there were a couple of tough rhubarb pieces in my pie. I can give a lot of grace because the ice cream (served a la mode)was great!
I have a picture of the pie but it is a split piece. We told her we were sharing so she split the pie for us and gave us each a scoop of ice cream.
The establishment was especially clean and I liked the quaint gift shop. I just wished I had time to peruse it more.
The servers were great. It did take time to order but the food came very quick. The locals said it was worth the wait. And they were right.
I would eat here again....
