Four Leaf Brewing — Restaurant in Clare

Finally managed to visit!

Four Leaf was one of my father's favorite stops on the road North. Unfortunately, I will not have another opportunity to sit and have a beer with him - but I can see why he liked it so much.

Terrific atmosphere and friendly staff. (And from what I understand, they recently remodeled.) Good menu and a great selection of beer, cider, and mead.

I had the deconstructed Italian Crunch salad with both Italian dressing and pesto. Everything was fresh. Generous potions of pepperoni and salami on the salad.

I tried several beers and two ciders. Everything was great, but my favorites were the Prince Parl's (red ale, which was Dad's favorite), Grand Theft Equine (Scottish ale), and Gordie's Hop Bomb (DIPA) - which was reminiscent of Hopslam Ale by Bell's. Both the berry and cherry ciders were very nice.

Four Leaf Brewing is in Clare Michigan on the main drag just 1.5 blocks south of Business 10 heading back to the highway. I met some friends there from 30-120 miles away. Everyone found it easily. The pub is bright and cheery. On Tuesday evenings they have a guest chef come in, it was "taco tuesday". That was 3 specialty tacos, Falafel, Queso Chirazo, and a BBQ Chicken were on this week. I think it varies a lot week to week. As a standby the regular menu is available. It's a small menu with Salads, Sandwiches and Pizzas. We can vouch for their "Wit beer" (a Wheat) and their SunBurst IPA. I would definitely explore their beers more. Both were above average. First time visiting Four Leaf Brewing in Clare, MI. We arrived for a late lunch and were immediately greeted by our server/bartender. All of the staff were very friendly, attentive. Our drink and food orders were taken promptly and our food arrived quickly. Four Leaf offers a menu with a great selection and prices were average with most other similar establishments. The food quality was excellent and came out exactly as ordered.

The beer, ciders and mead we had were all high quality and very good. Four Leaf Brewing has a bright, friendly atmosphere. Everything was clean and comfortable, and I would highly recommend giving them a try. I know we will be back. Thanks for the great...
