WRITING REVIEWS ISN'T SOMETHING I DO OFTEN, BUT THIS PLACE TRULY DESERVES ONE.
From the moment we walked in, the cashier's warm welcome set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. My girlfriend and I decided to visit this charming spot on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cashier's helpfulness.
I asked whether a single plate would suffice for two, as we wanted to share. He mentioned that most patrons order individual plates, but we decided to go ahead with just one Chicken Gyro Plate for us both, along with Grape Leaves and Empanadas.
When our order was ready, the cashier ensured that it was more than enough for both of us to enjoy and bid us farewell with a smile.
When we got home, we discovered that the portions were generous enough to feed at least four people! The portion sizes were truly impressive.
Unfortunately, we realized that the Grape Leaves were missing from our order. Despite the restaurant having already closed for the day, I decided to give them a call to inquire about a refund for the missing item.
The cashier was apologetic and offered two solutions: a refund or delivery of the missing Grape Leaves. We chose delivery, and to our surprise, they arrived at our doorstep within just 30 minutes.
And let's not forget the most important part—the food itself. It was nothing short of amazing.
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND YOU TRUST THEIR CULINARY EXPERTISE.
This restaurant goes above and beyond not only in the quality of their dishes but also in their customer service.
It's a place that truly cares about its patrons' satisfaction. Don't hesitate to pay them a visit; you won't be...
Read moreCan't recommend this place less. While the attitude of the server was good and he seemed apologetic about his mistakes, there was a ridiculous number of them for his attitude to make up for. My friend got the chicken kabobs and they were overpriced (10$ each) and they were mediocre (over salted and over seared/grilled). Here is where my frustrations begin. He up-sold us on empanadas (fine, make your money king) but he proceeded to forget to even give them to me in my to-go bad (I only realized they were missing once I took everything out of To-go containers, imagine if I went home). I went in to get the empanada I didn't originally plan to get and he gave it to me. It was meat. I had explicitly confirmed with him multiple times that I do not eat meat and need the vegetarian option (the stranger behind me in line had to defend me). Once I finally got the spinach empanada, I discovered that it was NOT good (everything is subjective ofc but this was rancid imo). I also purchased pita and hummus. Hummus was ok but the pita was stale and cold (I watched him rip them up with bare hands from a store bought bag). He also made us both buy (making it seem free) the garlic sauce. This is fine bc business but it pissed me off. Overall, the place was dirty, dark, and despite their 'A' rating from public health, I do not feel safe. Dalmas were bad, even canned ones are better. Hella overpriced. Super grumpy, still hungry, at least trader Joe's is next door. Can't...
Read moreFor the longest time, I never wanted to try Boca Burger, because it replaced Burger Bar, the prior burger joint. As silly as it sounds, I liked Burger Bar and I childishly never wanted to give Boca a chance. So, for years, since the closing of Burger Bar, I avoided Boca Burger only UNTIL recently. My friends wanted to get Boca Burger and I felt that it was time to finally lay this silent boycott to rest.
I ordered a Double Boca Burger (No Cheese, and Lettuce Wrap) with fries and a drink. I was not sure what to expect based on Boca's tagline, "with a Little Bit of Argentina," so when the server presented me with my burger, I almost braced myself.
The burger was AMAZING! The chimmichurri really adds a new level of deliciousness to this already amazing burger. I am a huge fan of parsley and garlic, and to have that tantalizing my taste buds, why did I ever NOT give you a chance? As I stated, I "childishly" never wanted to give Boca a chance, and in doing so, I robbed myself a delicious and quite frankly, a BETTER burgers than the ones I used to get from Burger Bar.
Honestly, if you are in Claremont and are looking for a great place get a tasty burger for a GREAT PRICE, DO NOT go to the village. The best burgers in town are north of Foothill (Rte. 66). I am a believer, and I would highly recommend you checking Boca Burger, you will NOT...
