Hot Sandeez is one of those small-town surprises that completely overdelivers. It shares space with The Drinky Box, but make no mistake — the food here stands entirely on its own. The menu is packed with inventive sandwiches that hit that perfect middle ground between comfort food and chef-level creativity.

I ordered one of their signature melts, and it was outstanding — toasted golden on the outside, perfectly layered inside, and loaded with flavor. Every bite had that satisfying crunch from the bread and the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and protein. You can tell everything’s made fresh, not pulled from a prep line. Even the fries were top-tier — crispy, seasoned, and clearly made with care instead of just dropped from a bag.

Service was fast and genuinely friendly. The staff have great energy, joke with regulars, and make newcomers feel like they’ve been there before. The kitchen moves efficiently even when the bar crowd or lunch rush kicks in, and the food always comes out hot.

The atmosphere adds to the experience — casual, lively, and authentically local. It’s a great place to grab lunch, meet up with friends, or just hang out and enjoy good food with zero pretense.

I'm stoked to finally have a good burger truck in the LC valley. If you're looking for to try something unique, the chopped cheese sandee is loaded with grilled mushrooms and onion, or try my fave, the Hot Chop, which also has grilled jalapeños and a housemade spicy sauce.

Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is fun and the fact you can sip craft cocktails or beers while you wait makes this new destination...
