Riverport Brewing — Restaurant in Clarkston

About a year and a half ago when I moved here I enjoyed coming in here to have a beer. Now even with only 5 people in the building, I had to go up to the bar to ask for a beer. Last 2 visits, different bartenders, I had to damn near shoot a flare off to get them to look up from their phones. Also, the beer has gone down hill. Tried river rat and seven devils and they both tasted skunky. Today I called and asked if the NFL game would be on, they told me it was. I went to watch it only to have them change it to a meaningless college game 5 minutes after I got there. Sad to say I think this wil be the last...

Very good beer. I tried 4 of them, and loved all of them. The stout was very smooth with enough hop to let you know it's there. The porter had a strong but pleasent Smokey flavor. The Bock was a lighter version of the stout and very smooth and creamy. The sour beer was a unique experience of sour fruit up front with a buttery finish. Subsequent sips had a slightly more grain flavor causing a kind of a sour buttered popcorn flavor (think of a sour buttered popcorn jelly bean). The fruity notes come out after it...

Stopped by here during a business trip to Clarkston. Great, large selection of beers and the staff was very friendly.
