First, I want to say that on Saturday Oct 19, 2024, it was extremely busy with customers. It was apparently homecoming night so it was difficult to get a table as a walk in. Also, my party had 11 people in it, again, no reservations. Shame on us, but we heard it was a great place for a group dinner. Our group was a family reunion mix of out-of-towners and locals. When we first arrived we were told it was a 45 minute wait. Yikes. With the group coming in from a long day of driving around the area, we didn't know if we would wait that long. We tried to grab seats in the bar, but that wasn't going to work. The three at the front and many others were EXTREMELY helpful. After about 10 mins we were told 30 mins, then suddenly 20, then almost immediately, we were sitting down. We probably waited a total of 20 minutes. Given the circumstances, amazing! Logan and Hilary (and another young woman with red hair whose name I didn't get unfortunately) were so understanding to get our group (ages 23 to 84) seated. Kudos to the staff overall, but to these three specifically for going above and beyond. The service was great, food was very good (cobb chicken salad and the seafood pasta with cream sauce in particular were very tasty), and we all walked out with big smiles...as you can see.

We were visiting Lewiston/Clarkston on a day trip to run errands and took time out for lunch on the patio at Roosters overlooking the Clearwater river. We really don't know the restaurant scene in this area so took to Google reviews to see what others were saying. Roosters easily was at the top of the class with many five star reviews and we weren't disappointed in the least. Really good sandwiches, burgers, salads, and appetizers and all with a somewhat unique spin on the recipe. The wait staff were all friendly and efficient and it server said she had worked there over 20 years! That really tells you something about the owners and management. The place is perched next to a lovely small park even though the surrounding area mostly industrial. It overlooks the Clearwater river and it was very enjoyable to sit outside on this mid April day in the high 60s and watch tugboats move barges up and down the river. All in all a great spot. Highly recommended!!

This place is very cool. Very big place with lots of variety for seating and atmosphere. The covered deck is very nice. It was protected from the wind (while I was there). They boast that their sirloin steak is their most tender cut. I have had very few sirloins that were worth talking about. Based off recommendation from the server tried the surf and turf (sirloin and fried shrimp). The steak really was very tender, good cut, with lots of flavor. The fried shrimp were cooked perfectly with the shrimp being tender (not rubber like most fried shrimp) and the breading had an awesome complementary flavor. The drinks and service were great as well. On top of that are the awesome river and rugged hill views to complete the package. This place is legit!

We've read about less than favorable results from people recently visiting Roosters. We like to go there to sit outside on the deck overlooking the Snake River but have not been in a while. So we packed up the kids, grandkids and took a trip to Roosters. I can say without a doubt it was the most pleasant dining experience we've had in the Lewiston/Clarkston valley and certainly one of the best we've had at Roosters. Our server; Leslie was the best. She knew what she was doing and was professional yet fun loving and fast. When my son had issues changing his order twice and then gave his choice she replied with..."is that your final answer"? We cracked up. She was not a helicopter server either, but very aware of when we needed waters refilled, drinks refilled and took great care of our dining needs without constantly hovering. She knew her job and did it very well! The food...kids had grilled cheese, loved it! I had the pulled pork sandwich and was the best I've had in over 2 years anywhere. We had a variety of orders with "shareables" and nothing but compliments to the chef. Lastly some of us are beer drinkers but not IPA lovers. It was great to see a couple of Ambers on the menu and we got lucky...they had our favorite on tap...Backwoods Brewery Cross line Amber! Loved the entire experience!! Again, we had a great time and meal at Roosters...thank you Leslie and the rest of the crew that made our evening fantastic!! You all work hard, especially in today's environment and...

Perhaps it's a result of over hyped expectations but I was generally disappointed. Other than the location, view of the snake river and relatively high price for very little food on the plate, it didn't live up to the hype. Maybe the good folks of the LC Valley just need a better selection of eateries in general.

We have found 1 or 2 dishes at places that aren't bad around the valley but the locals we met sure talked up Roosters.. But it's just an ok imitation of a Red Robin with fewer options, stranger flavor profiles and smaller portions.

Quick Tips from a consumer, if you write "sausage coins" don't cut them into chunks. Tots are served in volume not fours no matter what they are stuffed with...

Nod to the waitress- she was friendly and though not beer savy suggested a flight which they called a six pack, which is fine but if you're out of a beer that we are expecting don't substitute another without asking the customer first or saying something like "if we are out of a beer is it ok for the bartender to select a replacement for you"? And if it is cool.... Always substitute UP!

I REALIZE that my reviews can be hard to swallow, like soggy sweet slaw on a lower bun of a burger... (Hard no!- if its not smoky or actaully pulled pork... Um- no slaw). But here it is and its free.

We Reserve the right not to patronize any establishment twice. :/

Amen... Yeah, said a prayer...

Over the past 20 odd years I've eaten there at both locations ( probably 10 times or less ) & various offerings though not recently until a couple of days ago which interrupted a walkabout. My choice was a Reuben with side salad with blue cheese dressing. Lynn's choice was the fish (cod) tacos. The Reuben was with toasted marbled rye with one side overly buttered, good flavored, meat not really corned beef, from my experience, and not much of it. Thousand Island dressing & Swiss cheese as usual. Two limp, thin slices of dill pickle & salad were unremarkable. The fish tacos were filled mostly of cabbage, onion (overly so) with a bit of grated cheese & small pieces of deep fried cod, topped with chopped tomatoes & a bit of cilantro. Green salsa accompanied the 3 tacos. I ate one of the three. Opinion... nothing much positive. The Reuben was unremarkable; there could have been more & better quality corned beef; where was the sauerkraut? Couldn't find much blue cheese in the dressing (check out the casino's blue cheese dressing!): the taco was messy, over filled with non - fish & not much flavor. The lack of fish included made me think what was there didn't hurt the fish much. $25 without tip. Don't think I'll be back here for quite awhile in spite of it's location &...
