Maybe this is a good experience in person, but online, it's terrible. I received a flyer with coupons, so for 30% off, I thought I'd give it a chance.
The inital ordering was clunky, but I'm a dinosaur, so I was okay with that. However, when it got to adding my coupon, it kept telling me it was invalid. I thought maybe they were coupons that hadn't started yet, so I was disappointed, but accepted it. So then I tried to use the coupons that were on the original landing page, and those didn't work either. Only the ones that are apparently linked to my location, and that was one cent off my pizzoli.
A penny off. Oh boy, that's almost like a 30% coupon. 😒
I guess this is a corporate versus franchisee issue, but they need to get it figured out.
I would have just not ordered, but I had gotten my family worked up about trying the pizzolis, so I went ahead and paid full price.
Thankfully, I also ordered a pizza, because the pizzolis were mostly bread and flavorless. While they were filling, as bread tends to be, there were nothing special, and I wouldn't recommend them unless you're literally about to die of hunger. The pizza (Magnifico) was great and the only thing that was redeeming about the experience.
I absolutly do not recommend their website, most of their food, or their delivery. Save your money and go somewhere better that actually honors the coupons they send you.
I gave the atmosphere three stars, just because I don't want to be negative about something that I haven't seen, but Google won't let me post the...
Read moreThis was at the Marcos on Wilma Rudolph in Clarksville, TN on November 18. My order was a meatball sub, 3 Italian sub and one turkey and cheese. I asked the cashier did the Italian come with banana peppers and he said yes it did. I said great and paid for my food and waited. I noticed none of the employees were wearing a uniform. People preparing food wasn't wearing hats or hair nets. One guy I kid you not had on pajama pants with a sweatshirt. Someone else had on sandals and some sweatpants. I seen the girl that made our subs looking really confused with no hat on while she tried to put our subs in the oven exit side first smh. After about 30 minutes order was ready and went home to eat. Get home, instead of being cut in half it was cut 30/70. They sandwiches were made very sloopy, 4 little pieces of onion and NO BANANA PEPPERS on any of the Italian sandwiches. I had extra cheese on mine and it was kinda clumped on just 70% side smh. My sister found a strand of red hair in her sandwich (same color hair as the girl who made the sandwiches). Starving, disgusted and angry, I called Marcos. He said "Oh sorry about that. I can take your number and give you $10 off your next order". Feeling like he did could care less about the terrible sandwiches, I told him, Oh really, you lucky if I ever come back to this Marcos ever again. Your very unprofessional and not sanitary and take no pride in your work. They really make the...
Read moreI had my first Marco's pizza yesterday. I told them what time I wanted it and asked them to not bake the crust too brown.
I got the XL size, and I believe it was Chicken Florentine flavor.
I tried them for the first time because I'm always getting coupon deals in my email. I don't usually go to that area of Wilma Rudolph but I took a chance because the flavor options were good.
I was very happy with the pizza, and the young man at the drive through window was very cheerful and friendly. The woman who took my order on the phone was friendly and upbeat, too. I think we need to give props to cheerful employees in reviews of restaurants because it's probably a sign they are treated well, which are the kind of businesses people should seek for employment and to spend their money.
I especially appreciate that Marco's seems to be taking the health of customers and employees seriously by closing the lobby. Happy employees and health protocols are the main deciding factors in why I decided to review them. (I usually don't even think about it.)
I will buy from them again, especially if I have something to do in the...
