I know this is a new location (with new staff, etc.), so I'm being generous with a 3 Star rating. I've eaten at this location 3 times now, last time being yesterday around 7pm, and the experience is NOT getting better. I have a habit of looking at the doors of any eatery as I go in and out to see if they've been cleaned recently. This PE had filthy, greasy, finger-printed and smudged doors going in and out, not a good sign. The lines are starting to subside from the first opening weeks, but serving line staff inefficiency seems to be causing unusually long wait times nevertheless. Things I observed waiting for 15 minutes (after I ordered) and standing in front of the serving line: The staff cooking in the back seem to be doing a great job. They hustle, they communicate, they TRY to tell the serving staff when items are about to be finished and replenished on the line.....yet the serving staff don't seem to know how to communicate back; rarely did they answer. There were 3-4 servers on the line including the cashier, none of whom seem to like to talk to one another. They were either uncertain about or outright screwed up every order (including mine) I saw while standing there, and had to correct them at the customer's direction. The main reason for this seems to be training, they did not all seem to understand the labeling system for the "to go" orders and had to constantly ask questions of the other serving staff and customers like "What is this?", "Did you order beef and broccoli", "Is it you that is waiting on Orange Chicken?"....it was ridiculous. This staff needs to be drilled to work more efficiently. Where was the manager or team leader? Not visible when I was there. After being served, I went to the drink station to get my sweet tea. Guess what? Sweet tea container was empty. Hello? This is the South! You can run out of water, Coke, Root Beer, and Fanta but you CANNOT run out of sweet tea! Additionally, the drink station was dirty and looked like it hadn't been serviced in a while. I did inform the cashier of the issue. I've been eating at PE around the country for many years, and I understand that a new location will have growing pains as it finds its legs and gets running. Please work on improving staff communcation, coordination, and basic standards of cleanliness and service. Food quality was what I would expect from PE, which I like to refer to as "the McDonald's of fast, fresh, American-style Asian cuisine"......it was good. All except the fortune cookies that were provided, they were so stale that they were actually chewy....pretty gross. Probably some really old ones...
Read moreMy family and I just visited this store and we had the WORST customer service I have ever received. i understand that we came on thanksgiving, but we have been driving for 6 hours and no one else was open. I had never ordered at Panda Express before so I was a little slow at getting myy order put together the right way. the woman over the intercom was impatient and rude/snippy with us and when she gave us options I didn't realize I had she spoke slowly as if I was incapable of understanding the words she said. When we finished she simply said the total and ended it. so we drive to the window she opens the window and hands us the first of our two orders and looks is dead in the eye and says “10.07” and that was it. My sister handed the card and she disappeared for a moment. When she came back she returned my card and sai the total of the other order just like before. When my sister handed over the card it slipped and fell under the car. the woman stared at her and then said with a slightly nasty, mocking face “it fell under your car”. She then went to bring the food back behind the window and my sister said “go ahead and hand me the food and i’ll get the card”. When we left we just stared at each other like “did that really happen?”. the woman was so rude that I immediately looked at my receipt to see what her name was so i could give feedback on this bad experience there. The receipt said Kimberly P. but my sister said her name tag said “Boss Lady”. We both agreed that if she was there next time we would leave nd eat somewhere else. I have worked in customer service, fast food and retail for 7 years and I would NEVER speak that way to a customer nor would i let an employee of mine speak to a...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting Panda Express here, the line wasnt long but they were a little busy. We only had a few other people in front of us and yet it took forever before we finally got our order rung up. The cashier seemed confused by the simplest task and flustered easily. Then we sit down, after having to wipe down a table ourselves, to eat after finally getting our food and not only was it super cold now but most of it wasnt cooked fully. I am a chef and Im well aware of al dente but this food was practically raw. The noodles were still almost white, and the vegetables were extremely hard, the meat was very chewy so it had been sitting too long. Then after we decided we would take our noodles and veggies home and I would just cook it myself, we then tried to clear the tray and couldnt because both trashcans in the lobby were not only full but over flowing! It was disgusting. I worked in the resturant industry for 8 years, I know there are good days and bad but what I saw made me embarrassed for the manager that has to say "these are my employees and my store". I will try to come back one more time to give this panda express another chance but this location has lost my husband's business and I will not reccomend anyone to come here if my next experience isnt beyond satisfying. I did forget to state that before we left we wanted to bring attention to the over flowing trashcans and when we did, the young lady seemed angry and didnt say anything to us and she didnt get right on fixing it. If she had said "Im so sorry, thank you for bringing that to my attention, I will get right on that" or something of that nature it might have made us not think that everyone there...
