So I have no choice but to do this. The service I received was inexcusable and couldn't go unexposed.
I had an office Thanksgiving party that I needed food for. White Castle has a seasonal turkey dinner slider that I thought would be perfect, given the theme. I called ahead and ordered it so I could come by and pick it up. My office is 30 miles away, so this was my best option. Everything seemed to go fine on the phone call and I made my way over. I came in and was told by the manager to wait before even being greeted. I waited for 10 minutes until she finally came over to assist me. I paid for 30 sliders and got my crave case. When I opened it at the office, we noticed that it was just a piece of turkey on a bun. The menu clearly said that they would have a sweet potato fry and cranberry sauce on them, and I confirmed that it is what I paid for on the receipt. What they gave me wasn't even an option on the menu, just something nonchalantly thrown together without any care. I called to complain about the order and was interrupted multiple times by "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US TODAY?". I guess there was no training on this type of thing, so I had to tell them I wanted a refund. So now I made the long drive back to get the refund. I waited at the counter for 15 minutes before anybody would even acknowledge me. By this time, the lunch party was over with no food. The manager (Dianna) truly didn't seem to care about what happened. It was very obvious that she was phoning in the standard manager speech with no conviction in her words. She told me the refund would take up to 2 WEEKS to process, so now I'm out $60. I calmly left without making a scene, but knew I had to tell about this.
This location seems to have attitude issues. Before they were remodeled, I avoided it at all costs simply to avoid confrontation. When they reopened, things were better for a while. But now it seems old habits are being revisited. Management has no accountability for their employees even though this is a well known issue. A few days ago, a lady in the drive through literally told me i was burdening her because it was the end of her shift. WHO SAYS THAT!?
I'm not sure what the future is of this location, but I think it is time for a corporate review. People are out here fighting for $15 minimum wages, and this place just adds to the opposing arguments.
UPDATE: The assistant manager (Selika) was leaps and bounds better than the GM. She took it upon herself to remedy my issue in a very professional matter. Roles should definitely be switched. Upgrading...

We were on our way to Kentucky to pick up my step daughter and we were wanting some White Castle. So I opened up the app to place my order so that when I got there I could pay and then pick it up and leave. Well, after I placed the order for pickup in store and pay when I arrive I got a confirmation number and continued my drive. I was a good 50 minutes away and I scheduled the pickup time within 5 minutes of ETA! When I arrived we went in to use the restroom and then I went to pay and pickup the order that I had placed 50 minutes prior! The guy said he didn’t have anything come through and then the manager lady looked and said “It didn’t come through” and then printed the receipt and before I paid I asked how long it would take to prepare my order because I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO WAIT AROUND!! We were in a rush and that was why I placed my order on the app 50 minutes ago! The lady said it wouldn’t take long and then I paid! It took an additional 5 minutes I would guess, which isn’t bad, but my burgers were so messy because they slapped them together so fast that all it did was aggravate us with trying to eat our food! The cheese sticks, fried, and onion rings were fine. But the burgers were so messy I wish I would have ordered from McDonalds instead! 6 of the burgers weren’t put together correctly, the meat was on the bottom and the buns were on top of the meat!! Like… what on earth is wrong with them? They had 50 minutes to get it ready, and I’m sorry but it is NOT MY FAULT that the order didn’t come through! My guess was that it didn’t go through because I chose to pay when I arrived! That’s lame… everywhere else that gives the option to pay at the store will let you order and they will prepare your food and you can pay at the store! I didn’t pay on the app because I had a new card mailed to me and the new number wasn’t saved in the app at the time I ordered it! This visit was the worst fast food experience I have had this year!!! Read moreThis has to be the cleanest White Castle I've ever seen in my life. The entire staff is super friendly and beyond efficient. They were very patient when I took forever to make up my mind. We settled on 2 of the #2 combos, one with American and fries, the other with jalapeno cheese and onion rings. Our burgers were cooked perfectly, and even better than I remembered them from my childhood in Chicago. The fries didn't even need Ketchup. I'm only passing through town but I will definitely stop here next time I come through. Just amazing, from service to food. Well done.
10-19-2024: I walked in today, not realizing I had been here before. I decided to write a review to commend the staff on their work ethic and see that I did last time I passed through the state. It's 6:54 on a Saturday night and this place was busy when I walked in. We ordered 8 double cheese sliders, a medium fry, and a sack of onion rings to go. They are all doing such a great job. No one is goofing off or slacking or on their phones, as people usually like to complain about. These employees are working their asses off. Great workers, all around. Commendable. Impressive.
