Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Clawson

Not honest about their hours. Often close a full hour or more earlier than Google states. Not sure if this is a legitimate change in their hours or if employees feel like letting themselves off early all the time, bit they need to update this information to reflect that they are NOT open until 8 pm. If it's 7 pm and you feel like a smoothie, DO NOT go here, or you are wasting your time.

I was here last week (I believe it was Thursday @ about 7:30) and went to the drive-through. The person responded over the speaker that they had closed, and I told them that the hours on Google indicated that they should still be open. They replied that they had to close early. This was not the first time I've come here during business hours with the place closed. I totally understand with everything going on today, it's difficult to keep regular hours staffed, but the hours should be updated on here to reflect that so people don't waste time out of their day. Otherwise food and service have been good here....

Been to this location 2 times.

The first was not good. I pull into the drive through 15 minutes before they close (business educate is you serve the customer up to the closing time) and they did but with an attitude first from the girl at the microphone and then at the window by another guy employee.

Second time I am standing at the counter for 5 minutes and everyone is running around I get it you are busy but someone needs to be stationed at the register I shouldn’t watch you fulfill orders and dolling them out right next to me 5 times and you don’t even bother to ask if I have been helped.

Unbelievable I am writing this review I get my order super green Caesar chicken and there is like 1% any lettuce in it and the girl at the counter says we replaced Romain with iceburge lettuce. Ok your menu says Romain! she says “it’s ok” we can make a new one...the proper response is “I am sorry” we will make another”. To their credit the the girl who brought my sandwich to me did say sorry. Other needs training. food was good after remade but like all fast ish food places they need training on how to speak...

The smoothies are great. For this particular location, they are pretty fast with finishing your smoothies up on time. For this particular visit, it did take longer than expected, but I won't hold it too much against them. The only gripe I have with this particular tropical smoothie Cafe is the fact that there is no designated pickup area. You have to wait in line if there are customers there, until they are served to get your order. It's a positive because of this, in a negative, a double-edged sword if you will, your order stays cool and cold because they put it in a refrigerator, but it takes away from the Swift experience of quickly being able to pick up your order because you have to wait for the person behind the register to get your order. Other than that, the only other things about tropical smoothie Cafe are specific to the franchise, which is the fact that you don't get the wide range of customization for your smoothies like Smoothie King, a competitor also...
