Came for the second time with some friends. I get why it’s a popular spot! The wine selection is huge and the vibe is always nice. Great for date night or girls night to catch up. I always get the nonalcoholic rose and it’s so good. We sat outside this time with no wait which was great, but it was super hot. Still a nice atmosphere though! We started with the cheeseboard which was more on the basic side than I expected, but we still ate the whole thing. Also got a pizza, the brie sandwich, and another sandwich between all of us and everything tasted great and exactly how it was described in the menu. The service this time wasn’t the best. Our waiter brought the wrong food to our table and I ended up having to hand it to the table next to us myself after asking if it was theirs. He barely checked in on us and would only take a couple plates away even when the table was full of empty dishes. Not a huge deal but just felt kind of not taken care of. The other staff were so nice though I think they were managers and they were way more attentive. Cheesecake was pretty neautral and I wouldn’t get it again. Nothing was wrong, but nothing was extra about it. Maybe a little too soft. But the potato croquette bites that come as a side make me obsessed. So good!! It’s definitely on the pricier side, but I still like it overall. I’ll be back and next time I want to try the crepes again!

Last weekend, I enjoyed dining at this charming wine bar that completely captivated me with its delightful ambiance. As soon as I stepped inside, I could feel the vibrant energy that set the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. My friend and I decided to indulge in two bottles of red wine, eager to sample the distinct flavors from different vineyards; it was a fantastic way to elevate our experience. For my meal, I chose the crab cakes, and while they were divine, the portions were more of a tantalizing appetizer than a filling dish. On the other hand, my friend went for the luxurious Wagyu burger, which looked irresistible and surely satisfied her cravings. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a lively wine bar that pairs great drinks with a warm atmosphere. There's free street parking and a small lot next to the venue, but it's worth arriving early, as this place tends to get bustling with patrons eager to soak in the vibe!

Sasha’s on DeMun delivers exactly what a neighborhood wine bar should: confident food, a thoughtful beverage list, and an easygoing patio vibe. The standout at my visit was the French dip—served on a crisp, well-toasted baguette with generously seasoned, tender roast beef. The au jus had real depth (beefy, not overly salty) and elevated every bite. Portion size was satisfying without being heavy, and the plating was tidy. Service was attentive and professional—waters stayed full, pacing was relaxed, and the staff knew the menu. The patio is comfortable for a leisurely lunch, and the marble-topped tables add a touch of polish. If there’s a quibble, it’s that the sandwich could use a small side (greens or fries) to round out the plate, but the quality of the main more than compensates. Overall, a reliable, classy spot for a casual meal or a glass of wine with elevated café fare. I’d happily return—especially for that French dip.

I had been so looking forward to the Sasha experience for more than a year. My sister-in-law lives here and when we’ve previously visited, the timing hasn’t worked. Finally, tonight, it did….or did it? We arrived at Sasha’s and were informed by the less than pleasant hostess, it was a 45-minute wait. “Okay,” we said (being Friday), “May we get a drink at the bar and wait?” The “hostess” replied, “There's no seating for 5 at the bar.” OK…but can we order a drink to wait? We were told very emphatically, “no” but we could very well wait at the bar up the street. There were tables inside to the right of the bar, and upstairs, and upstairs at an empty bar. So…we went to Barrio’s to kill time and get a snack. As the 45- minute time approached, I asked my husband to check our reservation. When he returned, he said to hurry, as “we were next” for inside seating. We hustled down there and after 5 minutes, we were “greeted” by the grumpy/dumpy hostess whom informed us “it’s going to be another 35 minutes”. WTH? After much back & forth and multiple “give me a minutes” we were ushered to a table upstairs and outside. As we started to sit down at Table 1, we were told, “You can’t sit there. It’s not clean and I need to let the servers catch up. Go downstairs and wait.” WTH? We were past the original 45 minute wait. We could see empty tables. We were ushered TO an empty table, yet deterred. We were a bit snarky and questioning but not rude. We had been very misled. Out of nowhere, we were ushered into an upstairs, inside room (though we could still see Table 1, unoccupied). Our server was initially annoyed though seemed to get more pleasant once we could order (or maybe we were no longer delirious since we could finally eat). In any case, the attitude up to this point was un-accept-able. We were given false information and seemingly an explanation to vacate the premises. My family believes it was age discrimination. It could be. Either way, you, as owners, had a missed opportunity for more sales in alcohol and appetizers during a waiting period. This is baffling that we couldn’t at least order a drink, but were highly encouraged to go somewhere else. I may try your other location but I will not recommend Sasha’s or plan on returning to this location. Neither the food nor wine selection could outweigh the hostess’s dismissive,...

We had a HORRIBLE experience with our bill. We ordered two drinks each and were low maintenance. Even with that fact, we still tipped 20%. Bank notified me that we had tipped 35%. We called the restaurant to ask if that’s the case, if we made a mistake tipping 35%, so be it and we would’ve left it at that. The manager gave us a run around about how someone else at our table didn’t tip (none of my business what someone else’s tip and there was only 3 of us at our table), so they “figured” we had sort out the tip on our end and went ahead and did the tip for us and added the extra 15%. I don’t know about you guys but that’s theft. During the phone call, the manager was complaining about how they get around 300 receipts a night and it would take all day to go through them since we had requested the receipt we signed to make sure it wasn’t our mistake. We gave them a time frame, when we were there and what was on the bill. He said he would send us a picture of the physical receipt within 24 hours, I would’ve been more shocked if we actually got the picture. Called to follow up, management couldn’t find the receipt so they’re just refunded us the tip amount? Why was the instant solution that night was to assumed we we “figured out” a tip to put it on one card when the bill were separate? Again, that is ILLEGAL and THEFT to take more money than what they signed for. I called my friend to give him trouble about not tipping, then he said he did tip. Like I said, if I made a mistake on my bill and gave 35% tip, I would’ve left it at that once I saw a picture of the physical receipt that I signed for. We won’t be returning and I hope everyone checks their bill or at least take a...

This place is really just a wine place, they do have an extensive wine menu which is the only reason I gave 1 star. The “restaurant food” needs a lot of work. Party of 4, ordered crab cakes, Mediterranean pizza and 2 orders of lamb chops in which everyone’s food was lukewarm. The 2 crab cakes were very small, pretty sure they came from grocery store frozen food section. The pizza was just pizza, except not hot. The lamb chops were actually flavorful, yet lukewarm and very fatty in which they were sitting on a bed of mixed vegetables (seemed fresh), the 3 pinstripes of asparagus were charred and was like eating stalks of grass and the whole small potatoes had no flavor whatsoever (like just dropped in a pot of hot water and then served). The service was very lacking. I don’t recall our waiter’s name, but he wasn’t attentive and forgot to bring things we asked for. Asked for simple syrup to make the “sangria” have some flavor and it took him a very long time in which it was already watered down by the ice. When we finally got the attention of our waiter to get the bill, he proceeded to let us know that he was off and leaving, but he did go get someone from the bar to bring it. Had to inform the manager of the bad service and food in which he did apologize and asked for our information so that he could make amends for the next time (since had already ran my credit card, $168 down the drain) like a glass or maybe bottle of wine (yea, you could have just given a bottle to go). I politely informed him that we would not be coming back and thanked him for listening. I really don’t recommend this place unless you just want to chill...
