This was a cute cafe with a group of sweet front of the house staff. It was obvious that it was a team who supported one another even through their busiest times. I recently managed a cafe for 6 years so I know a good team when I see one. I, however, have a few comments to make. I don’t think the name calling system works very well. When they’re in a rush they’re calling out multiple names at a time and it can sound like one name. Some members aren’t saying the names loud enough or correctly so people aren’t catching the order. I could overhear a few tables making a comment on this. For my case, i was right in front of the register and didn’t hear my name called though the cook swore she called out my name. Both can be right in this situation which is why i think there’s something just not working with the system. Secondly the cook should be aware that we can hear what’s being said and she made a comment about not needing to go outside to drop off my food with a tone that made me feel really...
Read morethe food was really good, but the staff were pretty rude. they were originally nice and made lots of conversation, but then saw we had a u-haul moving truck, asked where we moved from, and immediately started being rude when they heard we're from texas. i understand that they probably made assumptions that we are right wing conservatives, but we are leftists, i am a social worker. they started talking very loudly about how "they hate people moving to their state and maybe they're just haters but texans are the worst" and just made us feel really watched and uncomfortable. the entire time i was eating, i would look up to catch them staring at me. it was really weird. definitely not the best first interaction to have on your first day living in a new state, but thankfully everyone else we've interacted with has actually spoken to us enough to know we aren't "evil texans" lol. i just think talking shit about customers should be done much more lowkey than what...
Read moreThis review is not just about the food, but also (and mainly) about exceptional level of service. We found this sandwich place last year on our way to eastern Washington. The food was great so we made sure we stopped this year as well. Unfortunately, this year we forgot a backpack in the restaurant when we left, and it contained a lot of valuable items. We found out only when we got home, 1.5 hours later. We called, and even though they were already closed for the day, the staff agreed to wait until we get there, and they did. It’s pretty amazing - nothing was touched, and they understood the bag had valuables that we didn’t want to leave behind, so they gracefully waited- which we very very much appreciated. The food was as great as we remembered. Thank you. We...
