Very nice park, great location and RV sites well situated. We stayed in this park a few years ago having the opportunity to speak with the owner who was kind while he briefly shared his hopes for future plans which appears have come to fruition showing in a well maintained expanded park. |We did not use the public restrooms or showers so I cannot comment on these. We did walk the park and river with our two dogs, enjoyed the large area for off lease park and found the park to be quiet and pleasant.|The only issue that gives me pause to return - is the staff. It appears that the owner has hired staff to run the park. The two staff members working in the store are abrupt and unhelpful, boarding on rude. In general they just appear to be annoyed with having to help or ring up the items. The clincher was when I bought items at the store and asked for a bag so the attendant handed me a bag and looked irritated as I bagged up my items from the counter, while other customers waited for me, making all feel unwelcome. |They were doing park maintenance when we arrived using large diesel machinery. We completely understand park maintenance is an ongoing job but once we parked they continued to run the machinery 5 feet from where we camping and having lunch. I did call the office and asked them to avoid driving right next to our RV blowing diesel exhaust which they did, but honestly this should not have required a telephone call. |I am sure the summer has been long and the staff is tired, so maybe a short vacation for the staff is needed so they can return with a...
Read moreYou can do better than this place. First of all, they still seem to live in fear of COVID...so there is no one to physically check in with. You just get your information off the board and then it's up to you to figure out how to access the site (no fun after a 450 mile day). We planned to spend 2 nights here on our way to the coast, however after 1 night we decided to leave and had hoped for a refund, but were denied. The issues were simple....check in was very stressful when arriving at a new RV park and having no idea which way to go just made it worse. Next, the heat was unbearable (although this most certainly is NOT the fault of the owners), but it brought out every mosquito in the world! You could not spend time outside without being made a meal by them....and since we had dogs who wanted to walk and explore, it was just miserable (we saw no evidence of any mosquito control). And finally, while there was ample shade at the site, the shade came from pine trees that were dripping sap everywhere! Our trailer and truck were covered with sap.....the site we were in sat entirely under pine branches. We haven't even started to tackle the work of removing the sap from both without destroying the finish...a carwash for the truck did not help. It's just best you look for someplace lese...even KOA is better...
Read moreWe decided to stay here for our first outing with your newest trailer. We wanted to be closer to home for our first test run. We were greeted in the office with smiling faces and got ourselves registered right away.
The park itself is really very nice. Tons of mature trees and a great walking path along the river. The dog park was perfect for our dog to roam about and get the roughing it experience without being tethered to a leash. Saw some deer each morning by the dog park which also made for a good outdoor experience.
Water and power hookups in good condition. Dump station is in good working order and we had no problems. Some of the sites have newer tables and the bigger pull throughs have a nice cement pad you can set up your patio on. They have a handy store right on the property in case you forgot something or simple parts for the rv.
We did not experience the other amenities; showers, bathrooms, clubhouse but from what I saw on the outside, they look really nice. There is just a tiny bit of noise from the interstate and you can hear the occasional train going by.
We really enjoyed this park and highly recommend it. We will be going back again before the...
