We didn't know that Opus (where we wanted to go) had moved and this restaurant opened in their old location. When we discovered this, we should have just left and gone to the new Opus location. To say we were very disappointed is an understatement. Our server seemed knowledgeable and attentive. The food, not so much. First, my husband's salad had a sliced hard boiled egg on it. He asked me what that ugly green ring around the yolk was and if it was a bad egg. I pointed out that it was a sign of an over cooked egg. Now seriously, if you can't properly cook a hard boiled egg, I didn't hold out much hope for the other food. They certainly should not have put that disgusting egg on top of the salad and served it. There was a limited selection, and since I have a dairy allergy, I had very little to choose from. I had the side order of the grilled shrimp (6) shrimp. They were good, but not great. My Caesar salad was okay, but I had to ask for extre dressing because it was almost dry. Tiny, tiny croutons. Definitely have had mush better at much less fancy restaurants. My husband's dinner, besides his salad, was so uneventful that I can't even rember what he ordered. But I do remember he said we would never eat there again and I agreed. Also, when we got there they attempted to seat us outside on the patio. They didn't ask. This may have been a mistake on our parts because it was so freezing cold inside that our food got cold within minutes and we were miserable. We asked them to adjust the temperature, but if they did, we couldn't tell. Finally, between our salads and main course, we waited about 45 minutes. No one apologized, so I can only assume this is their normal mode of service. As I said, WE WILL NEVER EAT...
Read moreWaste of money.. I had been here once before for lunch upstairs and had a good chicken sandwich and decent service. I brought my husband here since he has never been last night. When you walk in it looks like a sports bar with all high top tables and TV'S playing sports. There is an outside covered patio that we sat in by the water. The dinner menu prices were absurd. The wait staff's appearance should match the menu pricing. I would expect white table cloth service and professionalism, but not going to get that here. We hesitated to just drink one beer and go somewhere else like Opus Grille down the street and for the money we were about to spend. We decided to stay and give this place a chance.. The food was horrible and bland. We ordered a caesar salad, Ribeye with asparagus and Au gratin potatoes. The steak didn't even look like it was grilled and had zero flavor. It actually looked grey and was no where near medium rare. If you want bread it is an extra charge and it looked like a loaf of French bread that was smashed, so I didn't accept it. Disappointed experience overall is an understatement to...
Read moreMy family and I (party of 6) tried to book a reservation over the phone for our selfs on a Wednesday when the hostess told us that we could not make a reservation same day and that she would put us on the wait list to be seated in which we agreed and hung up the phone. When we arrived to the restaurant the hostess had not put us on the "waiting list" in which I told her it was okay and that we would still wait. She took down my name and number and she told me she would call when the table came available.. Soon after I received a call and the hostess said the table was ready and we could come in. After getting our children out of the vehicle and proceeding to restaurant I get a phone call from the hostess that in which she tell me that "Unfortunately we had to give your table away because you did no answer the phone"....
I'm not sure of the type of business that is being ran there but it sounds like to me that the restaurants would rather caterer to couples or individuals rather than feed a family..
I'd rather take my business...
