This Jimmy John's used to be fantastic at its one job: making people smile. I used to come to this particular one at least two to three times a month. It would abate my hunger and quench my thirst. The sweet tea they brewed was perfectly saccharine and the sandwiches were just delectable. Truly a superlative establishment and a wonderful way to brighten up anyone's day...
However, it would not always be this way. I've seen some of my favorite employees disappear and be replaced by ill-trained members. Cuisine has turned to wretched grub, beverages to a sorry draught. I've waited in the drive thru line for roughly 10 minutes on multiple occasions when there was not a single vehicle before nor behind me and also no more than three (3) customers inside of the establishment. Dare I say, 25 minutes at one point! Avoiding it altogether is best practice since they become exhausted and overwhelmed when met with more than six orders at a time. God forbid you get stuck behind a mobile order, as it will take up your entire allotted time for lunch. This very restaurant convinced me to sign up for VIP rewards, and at the time I felt obligated—nay, honored!—to start accruing points to earn free pickles and chips from time to time.
Notwithstanding, I was treated as quite the opposite. I was treated as if I were blacklisted. Exiled! An outsider! Had I signed up to become a "Very Inadmissible Person" instead? Is that what the acronym truly stands for? I understand that there is signage inside that reminds us that if we yearn for a faster made sandwich, we ought to make it ourselves. But, is that not the essence of your organization? An entire meal made in a heartbeat? The slowed pace and lack of diligence irks me. I am maddened. I now seldom visit, like walking through the ruins of the Holy Roman Empire, expecting to see change and order and a return to greatness. Yet, all I see are fallen pillars and headless statues. This Jimmy John's must reform or they too will...
Read moreWe had placed an order to be delivered to our house. Well after getting our food, they screwed up on my sandwich, so my husband called them back, spoke to a female and she no problem we will go ahead and replace your order since we (Jimmy Johns) messed up. Well after calling today to get the replacement they proceeded to pretty much call me a liar and said the needed the sandwich back in order to replace it, which I have NEVER heard that before. I told them we will pay for my hisbands since mine was the only one messed up and proceeded to tell me that there is nothing they can do. This is very frustrating especially when my husband works a 16 hr shift last nite into today, I work 2 jobs didn’t have time to cook us lunch (which is irrelevant to the situation and when your hungry for Jimmy Johns again) then call Jimmy Johns and be told nothing they can do about it. Well we will NEVER be back to Jimmy Johns again. We have had a coup,e of issues in the past, and the Area Manager is the one that took care of the problems and replaced our food after me telling him no it’s ok he insisted on doing it and was very nice and pleasant to work with, so we gave them another chance same thing happened, won’t be back after this. I understand that there are people out there looking for FREE food, but we here are to tell you that we are NOT. We work hard to earn our money and pay our way through life, we don’t take advantage of anyone out there. We were so excited to finally have a JImmy Johns that would deliver to our address then this happens, yeah we WON’T ever be back which breaks my heart UT not going to give my money to a business that makes you feel like you are kying and make you feel that way. Just remember that word of mouth goes a...
Read moreI am beyond disturbed by how unprofessional and disrespectful the Area VP of the northern Utah region, Ryan, is to the Jimmy John's employees and his attitude toward customers. Not only have I experienced his displeasing attitude in person at both the Clearfield and Clinton locations now, but I am hearing from multiple employees while I am in the store that he is constantly rude, demeaning, and threatening towards everyone at all locations he is associated with. Jimmy John's as a whole should be ashamed to have a "leader" like Ryan representing their company. I cannot keep this to myself because his behavior clearly needs to be corrected immediately and Jimmy John's needs to reconsider who they allow to manage, coach and mentor all these young people simply trying to create a career with your company. Additionally, customers should not be subjected to an uncomfortable environment Ryan creates because of his rude and negative attitude towards Jimmy John's employees. Ryan is your problem, not the everyday employees. Do better Jimmy John's and you'll regain a more loyal customer and...
