our FAVORITE ice cream place cause their sundaes are delicious. but sadly we definitely will NEVER be coming back here. to say your staff is AWFUL is truly an understatementâŠ.. if you show up between 7-9pm all lights/open sign is on, but staff is no where to be found even when you ring the bell or knock on the window you are waiting 15+ minutes. staff is SO extremely rude, it seems like itâs a bother you are there. no hello, no thank you, no enjoy, nothing. itâs hard to even get your order in because they just rush you and say are you done!? so incredibly rude, donât acknowledge you, roll their eyes at you, get combative, and get an attitude with you. tonight was our last straw, my boyfriend and i came here, and we both got sundaes, i SPECIFICALLY, specifically said NO NUTS for my boyfriends sundae, i wanted all toppings, so did he, EXCEPT NUTS, i made that very clear she even repeated it back to me and wrote down no nuts. she then comes out with it and said she put it in a large cup even though we got medium, because she put too much cherry, and then he proceeded to ask what kind of nuts these are? immediately she had attitude and said UM THEYRE JUST NUTS?! ARE YOU ALLERGIC OR SOMETHING??! and i stepped in and said well i specifically said NO NUTS on his sundaeâŠ.and she started to immediately get combative and loud and said NO I ASKED YOU IF YOU WANTED ALL TOPPINGS ON BOTH AND YOU SAID YES. and i said yes but i specifically said no nuts for the second order, like im sorry can i not order two different types of orders? the workers are incompetent and ALWAYS mess up our orders everytime, iâve even gone before and asked for a sundae with all toppings and received NONE. again, the products themselves are great, but the staff and customer service is what is truly causing me and many others to never come to your establishment again, itâs a shame honestly to have rude, lazy, disrespectful and entitled young girls working at what could be an awesome business. as far as tonightâs situation, you may want to educate and stress the importance of stuff like this with your staff. thank god my boyfriend DOESNT have a nut allergy, but say he did, and he didnât see the nuts, and just started eating, would she be okay with getting sued due to her purposely putting nuts on his sundae cause she was irritated they had customers and couldnât sit there and do nothing? this is a real life scenario and truly would have been a larger issue had he been actually allergic to nuts, either way, he doesnât need to be allergic to not want nuts, so they ruined his sweet treat for the night. i am beyond frustrated and have never experienced such awful humans EVER. this is ridiculous and should be...
Read moreWe loved having Dairy Kurl just down the street after moving to Clearwater six years ago and have brought family and friends when they are in town over the last few years but the last several months things have changed. It started with us showing up several times just after dinner time earlier this summer and it just being closed. One time, no note, nothing online and another time a note saying closed due to unforeseen circumstances or something like that. Months ago they changed from name brand Reese Cups to some other kind of peanut butter cups that are not great. Then the last two times we have come I asked about the ice cream being different, less creamy and more dense, like ice milk almost. I was told both times that itâs like that when a stencil is left out of the ice cream machine and itâs just the preference of whoever comes in in the morning as to whether they put it in or not. Tonight the hot fudge was evidently not hot and was all gloppy. And our orders were wrong. One of the things I always liked was that Dairy Kurl was great priced, creamy soft serve but when the prices go up and the service and quality go down it makes it challenging to support a small local business thatâs been there for years. We may give the Safety Harbor location a try sometime to see if itâs a...
Read moreI came here with bae one humid and mosquitoey afternoon and this guy was there in the window, so unwilling to be friendly or even show any gesture of kindness. I now know he is just playing a helpful and noble role in making sure we don't come back and waste any money. This became clear when we paid 8 bucks for two tiny ice cream cones that tasted like something you might find in the freezer at Dollar Tree. I ordered a vanilla cone with the nuts and chocolate coating and rainbow sprinkles. As I'm grueling my way through the old flavorless vanilla soft serve, I had hope that my favorite part, the cone, would make up for everything. I was wrong. The taste of the stale, faux "chocolatey" coated cone will not soon be forgotten. I pretended to like it cause bae paid good money for it. But never again will I go to this place, because I know it's going to taste awful, and I'm going to be overcharged. Guy in the window, keep doing you. I now understand why you refused to feign excitement at our presence or attempt to mask the terribleness of the establishment and the ice cream...
