I just got home with my take out and I’m sorry to say they did not make the grade. I am a very very good cook and I cook all these dishes, especially having been to Thailand in passed couple years. Restraurant is nice inside and the server is amazing and very nice. Ok so I told her I’m picky and even made mention that first of all the food has to be good and secondly no need to hold back on the portions. I ordered the Basil With Beef, (Pad Gra Prow), they keep it simple with Basil, Vegetables and choice of protein. First of all there was 14 Basil leaves and just to give you an idea when I make this at home I make 2 servings and use a packed cup and a half, I mean let the truth be told, The Basil is the Dish! Over all the entire dish was lacking in seasoning and spices, just BlAND. And I don’t think it’s fair at $11.00 or $12.00 to get 10 oz of mostly veggies. I have no problem paying $18.00 to $25.00 for this when it’s done correctly. So next came the Basil Fried Rice with Pork and I’m have to say it was Fabulous!! Wonderful flavors, Cooked Perfectly and was everything I was hoping for. So in the rules of fairness I can only hope that everyone has a bad night or maybe just missed the seasoning step. I would absolutely recommend them I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I have attached some photos one of which is similar if not Beef with Basil off their website and that is what I was looking for, just the color alone tells me someone their know how to make it. the last photos are of my own creation of Beef With Basil I learned...
Read moreWe are currently Clearwater residents, thanks to Milton. In our quest to eat different stuff around us we have been trying to eat local. It's also well-known that an independent strip mall restaurant that's well-established is going to be banging. Walking in, we loved the atmosphere. Very clean, comfortable and friendly. Two other groups came in at the same time and bless the one server, she crushed it. The side fried rice was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We each had to get one. Also ordered crab rangoon because it came highly recommended in the other reviews. (Speaking of reviews, the sushi was also recommended but they no longer serve sushi, FYI). The fiance loved his pumpkin curry, but wouldn't stop reaching over to steal my Pattaya Noodles. I usually get drunken noodles but didn't see them and kept finding myself back at the Pattaya Noodles. The sauce (called "gravy" but I can't stop picturing American gravy and no no no) was amazing, complimenting the noodles and veggie mix. The tofu was perfectly crispy and soaked in the sauce to a perfect consistency. We look forward to going back and working through some more items. Prices were also very reasonable for the hefty portions. We just spent more per person because we ordered more than a regular person probably would as our eyes were bigger than...
Read moreMy most recent experience has made me reconsider this place. I had previously held some suspicions about their customer service and the attitude of certain waitresses. Still, I chose to overlook them because I loved the food. Unfortunately, my recent encounter has reinforced my suspicions, making me believe they are likely accurate.
The waitress appears to behave discriminatively, possibly based on skin color, country of origin, or accent. Although I cannot definitively confirm this, I have noticed a stark difference in how I am treated compared to other customers. There is a notable absence of basic greetings when I enter or sit at the table. They sometimes rush to bring the check when I am halfway through my meal. I haven’t noticed this happening with others. They are polite and welcoming to another “set” of customers, which I learned many times.
During my last visit, the bill was presented immediately after I finished eating, which, in itself, is better than receiving it halfway through. However, throughout the meal, they didn't check if I required an extra drink or anything else. This was not during a busy time.
While I have tolerated this behavior in the past because I loved the food. I now realize that they are biased and discriminatory. Whether intentional or unintentional, it remains...
