I’ve been to some pretty bad Popeyes, but none have come close to ever making me write a review on them…until today.
This is long overdue. This Popeyes is the most convenient for me as it’s the nearest one by my house so obviously, this is the one I go to the most, but I always hesitate going to this location for the fact I know something is going to go wrong with my order. They never have what you want and it’s always been like that. No strawberry biscuits, no cheesecakes, no apple pies….and sometimes when they do have them, the quality of them are TERRIBLE.
Today was terrible as I ordered the new wings and 2 Oreo cheesecakes through the mobile app. When I got there, I had to go through the drive-thru as the inside was locked for, and I quote, “security purposes”. She then notifies me that they’re out of the cheesecakes and they can only give me the wings. I asked if I would be getting a refund for that, but I get hit with a slick reply saying “yes of course….you just to go and request a refund through the app as I can’t do anything”. Ok whatever. However, the lady on the voicebox was pretty witty with how she was speaking to me and I normally don’t mind what people do, but that was pretty annoying while I’m just trying to pick up my order. That may not seem slick to y’all, as you guys are just reading this, but you can tell when a person is being a bit slick based off of their voice tone, but I digress.
Any who, when I get my food, all of the wings were the sweet heat when I put 6 sweet heat and 6 bbq. This isn’t the first time that’s happened here either. The wings were lukewarm; they also don’t even sauce and toss the wings like they’re supposed to. Today, they just drizzled the wings; one time I went they legit had the wings on TOP of the sauce lying on the bottom…how can you be so lazy? Also, the wings are supposed to come in the black plastic boxes as those are leak proof compared to the paper white and orange boxes they normally use for the original crispy chicken. Sometimes, they don’t wrap the bottom of the box correctly, so the sauce will seep through the little slits on the bottom of the boxes and I wasn’t aware of this until the sweet heat leaked all in the bag and my bed…that was a lovely experience….
I’m a pretty easygoing person and it takes a lot for me to ever write a review, especially this long, but this needed to be said. Going into the new year, maybe you guys need to revamp this particular location by maybe improving the performance of your staff, always having a manager on site to make sure everyone is on task, keeping inventory for everything you guys sell, and also quality control because I never know if my chicken or whatever else will be missing, burnt, or cold. Read moreThe customer service rep charged me for four pies and only gave me two. I went back to the register to ask her about the other two and her mother was standing at the register and said that I had stated that I wanted to the employee Also stated that I asked for two. The lady argued with me that was standing next to her. I said I apologize if I misunderstood but I am sure I told you four. As I started to walk out the door, the lady who is standing behind me in the line, said that I did say four and that what she was saying was incorrect. So I went back up to the register, and the manager began to argue with me. I asked the manager politely to please pull the receipt. She pulled the receipt only to find out that the customer service rep and the mother that was standing up there making a big fuss and yelling at me in front of other customers Was wrong. I had paid for four and that lady had gave me two. The issue was not the fact that I was shorted to price but the tone that I was spoken to Ann and the way I was embarrassed in front of other customers. I felt ganged up on and discounted. I have worked in the food business all my life and I am very patient and Very kind Service people. I actually sent a email to the same company several months ago stating how one of their employees was such an amazing asset and how they gave me a great experience. Although I do like their food and the wings were good and the apple pies were good as usual that I was humiliated in front of other people was ridiculous. The mere fact that the manager was not apologetic and had me wait an additional eight minutes to put on another pie was unacceptable. I don’t know what happened to the wonderful lady that gave me excellent Customer service several months ago but she certainly wasn’t there today. And all honesty if one of my employees had disrespected a patron and embarrassed them like that I would have sent them home for the night. I don’t want an apology at this point because it should have been offered to me at the time that it happened. I honestly would have went home and not said anything about the whole situation and let it go and chop it up as a loss due to the, lack of respect and being humiliated in front of other customers, I would not recommend going there until someone teaches people how to respect and treat their patrons. I would absolutely hate somebody being talked to like I was. The sad thing is that the Employees mother was allowed to continue to stand up there and instigate friction and argue. I will choose to go to the other Popeyes on Park Street rather than dealing...
Read moreI'm giving them two Stars: 1 because the tall lady at the cash register was extremely nice. 2 because their red beans and rice is always delicious. However if I were basing this off of customer service I would giveI called and spoke to tiara who said that they did take orders over the phone because they've been extremely busy because it's a brand new location so I placed my order over the phone and she told me it would be about 15 so I waited 20 minutes left my house and went toPopeyes once I got there I had to reorder and then be informed that it was going to be a 9 minute wait on the mild chickento which at first I said okay and then I start hearing them telling everyone else got their orders ready they're calling this person that person the other person so I just stopped and I said wait a minute I called 40 minutes ago now placed an order and then had to reorder once I got here and I've been waiting here now for 15 minutes for this order to be ready to which shawanda I believe was her name she wears a blue shirt I'm assuming maybe because she's management of some sort of managementcomes out and begin to yelling at me about how I wouldn't have appreciated soggy chicken and that they don't fill orders at him in place over the phone unless it's a catering order and that people who spend as little money as I do don't get priority my order came to $29 and change. I have never encountered such rude ignorant behavior in my lifeshawanda and her friend in the maroon shirt thought They were behind the corner talking about me but I could see them. Every single minute of it is on their surveillance inside the restaurant. today is Sunday but I plan on calling Monday morning and finding out who owns this franchise and letting this person know the type of people that they have working for them. like I have gone out to eat a lot and I get that it's fast food but I have never been yelled at you actually yelled at by staff. She tells me they do take orders over the phonebut that they don't fill them until the person comes to pay they only fill them if their catering orders I said so then you don't take orders over the phone you just write down what people want and then they need to come back in and reorder it to which shawanda says... whatever!
