Our Place was recommended by a friend, so we decided to give it a try for breakfast. Glad we did! The restaurant is very clean and inviting and the staff is very welcoming. I had the Eggs Benedict, one of my favorites. It was absolutely delicious and a far cry above some places that serve it. Hubby had the traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and toast. He was very happy with his order. The plates are a generous portion and worth what you pay for. Our server, Alesia, was FaNtAsTiC! She was very cheerful and polite and knows how to do her job! She even read back the order to make sure it was correct. After brining us our food, she waited a minute or two to make sure everything was in order. Alesia, came back several times offering drink refills, checking to see that all was good and if we needed anything else. All in all it was a great experience, and we WILL be going back to OUR PLACE for dinner in the near future. We also made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner!
ADDITION: I liked Our Place so much, I decided to take my son there for breakfast. I again had the Eggs Benedict, (love it) and my son ordered a ham and cheese omelet. It was huge, nice and fluffy, loaded with diced ham and generous amounts of cheese! It was so big, he let me taste a little bit of it. I can honestly say it was extremely good! Better than some I have had at different places in the area. The eggs weren't over cooked and dry nor were they runny and unappetizing, it was cooked to perfection! The portion size of hashbrowns was enough to feed two people and they weren't greasy and overcooked. We had an amazing server as well, Aulona! She was on top of service, making sure everything was made to order and tasted delicious and refilling our drinks. She was also very cheerful and polite and willing to answer any questions we may have had. All in all, it was a great experience and as I said previously, we will be going back! Can't wait to try the other foods from their large choices on the menu. I can pretty much guarantee anyone who goes to Our Place will be happy and satisfied!
11/16/23 Hubby and I decided to try Our Place for dinner tonight. First of all, I have to say Jeton was great! He knew how to time everything. From the time he sat us, to handing us menus, giving us time to look at it, before he came over to ask if we were ready. We ordered the Sampler Platter to start off. It was hot fresh and delicious! Enough 'samples' to make a complete meal. Jeton waited a few minutes to clear the plates before brining our dinners out, which was great, so we had time for that food to settle. Hubby had the chicken finger platter and again, he wasn't disappointed. The size of the fingers was enough for him not finish it all and have enough to take for lunch today. The Cole-slaw was creamy and delicious and the fries were hot and crispy. I had the grilled pork chop dinner. They were grilled to perfection and very tasty, and I was really glad to see lumps in the mashed potatoes, letting you they were real and not doctored up flakes. I was also happy to see a bowl of applesauce with the food, as you just can't have any kind of pork without applesauce! Our Place is fast becoming one of our favorite places to go, because the service is always great, the food homemade, hot, fresh and delicious, the restaurant is always clean. The tables, chairs and booths are cleared and wiped down as soon as guests leave, the wait staff makes sure of that. Read moreMy last visit here, was waited on by a new employee. He was very friendly and attentive, something was wrong with our order and he had it fixed in a timely manner. The food was delicious (as always) and was served efficiently. The item that was wrong was quickly replaced and came out delicious. The reason why I’m leaving a 2 star review is because when my payment was taken the card machine authorized my card and took $20 extra dollars off my card. This left me unable to tip my waiter, so I asked him if there was anything he could do to change the amount taken off of my card, as I wanted to leave him a sizable tip as a thank you for his fantastic service. He was unable to help me and called his boss over, who was introduced himself as the owner. He thought I wanted the entire meal refunded and was very rude, I quickly explained that I just wanted the amount taken off of my card corrected so that I could tip his waiter. He then yelled at my waiter in front of me, belittling him and acting like he did something wrong. Now, I have eaten at this restaurant over 30 times, to the point where a lot of the staff actually recognizes me and my family when we come in, and know us by name. I watched him check us out and he did exactly what has happened multiple times during checkout. He did not add any extra charges to my card, which was evident by the receipt. The owner yelled at him in front of us for no reason and acted like he didn’t deserve the tip. He made it seem like the card readers always charge extra, when I know for a fact my card has never been overcharged before this visit. It is completely ridiculous to treat employees like that, ESPECIALLY in front of customers. The overcharge was not the biggest problem, it was the inability to tip a very deserving waiter. It’s extremely frustrating to see the owner of a family restaurant treat his employees like trash.
EDIT: to owner response- this was not today, as my review states this was my last visit here which as it happens was over 2 months ago, I apologize for not saying the exact date directly. If you had actually read my review you would see that I did not state that the amount was changed. I was unable to tip the waiter that day, due to the over charge on my account, and the owner being unable to reverse the charge. He was annoyed at the entire situation and if the managers really could reverse charges that easily why wasn’t it reversed then? Eventually the charge was updated on my account correctly, several days later, but nothing was done by the staff then to correct the situation. Looking me up under today would do nothing as it wasn’t today. The only motive here is to call out bad management that clearly has no problem gaslighting customers as well as abusing staff. I am just as confused as you are, since my review clearly states that this happened at my last visit there. I did not say I was there today. Also…. Also, the other team member Daniel came by and asked how my treatment was going,I had forgotten that I even told her about starting a few months ago. This really is a home atmosphere. The food was outstanding and the waitress Aulona was outstanding in getting my food out fresh and hot. This is the 5 star restaurant that I have grown accustomed to. Jet (who I thought was the owner due to his total involvement with the service both back and front of the house ) the manager stop by to chat and was very disappointed that I did not have a good experience before. He was also hurt since we do talk and he did ask me before the last time I left if everything was ok. He wanted me to know to please tell him if there is ever a problem which I assured him I would. To be fair we or I been coming here for the last year at least once a week and besides this morning only had one other bad service and food. All I had was eggs with hash browns, the eggs were good however the HB were old, oily and soggy. I took one bite and had never done this but spit it out that was how bad it was. The waitress asked me if I wanted new ones and said yes, she put the order in and 5-6 min later as I saw her put her cell phone down finally brought the HB to me. I told her that I did not want them.
